For those of you who saw the original post on my newly acquired fame, by now I hope you realized that it was just a combination of my Photoshop proficiency and Pulitzer prize worthy writing skills!!!

I'm Famous! But No Autographs Please!

Make sure you get my good side!

But this time I actually made headway into my inevitable pathway towards fame and immortality!

The other night, while pursuing my goal of searching every web site ever created; something I do when I'm not working on my Real Estate business, I came across a CNN link on their I-Report page. Grateful For a Dead Tour?

Naturally, since the Grateful Dead is a favorite of mine. And since I've seen a show or two (hundred) in my days, I had to send in my report. It is my duty, after all, to report the news and aid in the education of the masses!

It's the least I can do for my adoring fans! And never let it be said that I didn't do the least I can do!!!

So, anyway, shortly after I posted my report, I get a call from CNN!

No, it wasn't Wolf Blitzer. Or Larry King! Or even the lovely and talented Abbie Boudreau! (Private note to Abbie....Call me!)

Larry King

The lovely and talented Abbie Boudreau

Wolf Blitzer

Did I mention that Abbie Boudreau is lovely and talented?....Oh, yes, there it is....I see it above.....Sorry, I got distracted.....Now where was I?.......Right, right, I got a call from CNN!

So, CNN calls and interviews me about my experiences with the band, where the picture I posted was taken, how I met the band members and a host of other things. After about 15 minutes of going back and forth, we say our goodbyes and I go to CNN's web site to see if anyone's commented on my post there.

Well, much to my surprise, I'm on the front page of CNN's site and my story is right there as a featured I-Report!

The Grateful Dead...and ME!

So, now I'm getting nervous because I'm thinking that I'm rapidly starting to use up my 15 minutes of fame!

And this is where I need your help..... I need to reclaim my full 15 minutes of fame! I have big plans!!!

So, until my stardom fades a bit should I go in to seclusion at my private beach house?

My starter home on the beach

Should I fade out of the picture for a little while by cruising the South Pacific on my yacht?

The S.S. Aye Candy

Or should I just lay low in my Raleigh area home, here in Apex, NC?

By the way, you should consider a move here too.

It's really quite a lovely place to live, work and raise a family!

Please help me! My 15 minutes of fame is running out!

Craig, I would not panic yet, if during your regular daily route you start seeing a group of paparazzi fellowing you around then I believe you are ready to go into seclusion, until then you are good. Now what's all the fuss and whopla about again.

P.S.  The little boat you have, what are the chances of me borrowing it for a couple of weeks when you are not using it. Just asking.

Hi Craig

We have to make the most out of our fifteen minutes of frame. The Grateful Dead is also one of my favorite groups and I had the opportunity to meet Jerry Garcia in New York but that another story.

Good luck and success.

Hey.Craig. You are always good for a laugh or two. I am not sure weather I like the old hair style or the new one. I will have to get back to you on that one when you return from your voyage in the massive yacht. Thanks for sharing, Jim

Craig, What a great post and how much fun that is!  Larry King is next of course --  I certainly wouldn't go into hiding during my 15 minutes (if I had any :)  I'd say keep on posting--on CNN!

Craig:  Neat story.  I always wondered about that I-Report stuff on CNN.  It's cool that they called you and featured your story.  Next up...an I-Report on the Raleigh Real Estate market.  Wasn't Martha Stewart designing homes for a community in Cary?  Do an I-Report on that.

Leesa: You say "tramp" like it's a bad thing....You're just jealous of my new "ink" because you want to be a groupie, too. Get the tattoo and then we'll talk.

Laura - You have it confused with Heather Locklear! But thanks for looking out for me!

Roy - Much like you, the boat's current;y in dry dock!!! But we'll talk if either one changes!!!

Alan - Bereft or Fer Klempt? Which one is it?!!!

Lou - I'd love to hear your Jerry meeting story....Do I see a blog in your future?

Jim - Thank you! My new hair style isn't by choice though!!! Time and gravity have taken their toll!!!

Anonymous - Don't worry, I'll never forget the little people. I'm going to need maids, gardeners, butlers and chauffeurs...!!!

Leesa I - I'm putting my money on you in the 10 round Anonymous vs. Leesa smackdown!!!

Leesa II - I would love to hear that story! I'll listen to anyone who buys the drinks!!!

Cecily - And they say I'm not right in the head!

Leesa III - Now, now girls. Play nicely or I'll have to turn this car around!!!

Carole - I think your right. Yachts. Beach Houses. Who needs them when I can hang out with my fans?......Well, on second thought.........!!!

Terrie - Now why would anyone think I was joking? You know I'm as serious as they come!!! As far as the groupies go....I'm a legend in my own mind!!!

Chris Ann - I thought that I-Report thing was very cool too! At first I just made a silly post on it. Then I realized what a good marketing tool it could be. If you go to the story link in my post and then click on the"more stuff by Craigger1" link you can see some of my other posts. I did one on Raleigh's First Night and one on Raleigh and Cary winning another award. Check them out! And, you're right. Martha Stewart did "inspire" a subdivision down here. It's called Twin Lakes.

Cecily - I don't even know what to say!!! But you are nuts! And that's a good thing!

Can you ask any of these Deadheads if they need to buy or sell a house? Otherwise, I don't want to be waiting in line to be another one of your groupies!

Sometimes sharing your story can explode into more than you bargained for. Congrats on the CNN fame. I am sure you have more than 15 minutes coming your way. Oh by the way, Cecily and I now have matching tats. I too have seen the Dead more than once, but less than 1000 times. Feel free to send me one of those bootlegs. Are they 8tracks or cassettes?

;)

I guess when I comment I should subscribe so I see responses huh?  I don't know where my bootlegs are.  I had about 20 on tapes, and I haven't had a tape player for a looooong time, so they are all in boxes hiding somewhere.  I wish I had some on CDs or MP3s.  My husbands car has XM and the Dead have a station on there.  Too bad XM doesn't work well up here in the mountains!!!!

Betina - I have bunches! CD's, MP3's Cassettes.......But no 8-Tracks! Send me an address and I'll happily send you something that's sure to get you dancing! I'll even break my rule and autograph one for you!!!

Amy - Subscribing to my blog is a good thing!!! And, I'll do my best to insure that you don't ever regret that decision! Sirius and XM's 24 hour Dead Channel is pretty good. But if you can't get it in the mountains of San Bernardino County, then it's time to dig out those bootlegs!

Craig, Nice pic with with Bobby, you and your little girl. That is way cool. I never met any of the band, but I did attend plenty of shows. Btw I have a LOT of bootlegs.

James - I've been backstage for years now, was fortunate to meet them all, except Jerry, and loved every minute of it! Bill Graham said it best, "There is nothing like a Grateful Dead concert." I just saw them on this past tour and it was still a great show. I have way too many bootlegs too. Let me know what you need. If I have it, it's yours!
