Welcome back Rich!  Is that somewhere in Hawaii or around here?

Beautiful photo, but looks kind of soggy!  Where was it taken?

Gayle - Thank you! It is good to be home. Nowhere around here, definitely Hawaii.

Carol - Though it does look quite wet and it is, the water is from ocean inlets in the hardened lava so the moisture is quite contained. Taken on Kona, the "Big Island" Hawaii.

Carole - It was a beautiful and magical site.

Liz - I half expected to see unicorns run out to drink from the large pools of water.

Chris - It was a beautiful place but there is no place like home.

Rich, did you get some wading boots from your family so that you could wade?

So very lush and verdant Rich. Sometimes we only see the truly richest greens under overcast skies.

Danny - No need for boots, what you can't see is that their is a beautiful black sand beach just beyond those trees.

Dragon 29 - Thank you. It was a beautiful place.

Deborah - Like a green forest seeming even more green after a fresh rain. By the time I reached the beach, it was sunny with surfers, families, and people simply enjoying. BTW, no development at all!

Alisha - It was a lot of fun and I got to see my youngest brother get married!

Betina - It had actually been raining for a few days before I got there which it apparently only does like 15 days out of the year on the side of Kona where my father lives. Apparently one side of the island gets rain almost every day while the other side rarely get rain. The entire island gets to share in the water because of a common aquifer.
