Do You Have Your 2009 Vision Board Updated and Ready To Go?

Vision boards are a huge help in getting you to your goals. Most people are very visual so just using lists does not contain the magic that visuals do. Visuals stimulate the brain. Your brain thinks in pictures. When you think of the word elephant, do you see an image of an elephant or do you see the letters in the word elephant?

Your 2009 business plan is ready to go, you know what you want for this year. The best way to really instill these goals is to put together your vision board. I did updates to my vision board in our office above my desk on New Years Day. I like to look up at my wall right at eye level in from of my face where I can see my goals. I also have them written down on yellow index cards posted on my vision board.

vision boards coaching vision board software

Every one that I coach must put together their dream or vision boards- that is how important they are. But they are fun too! You can teach your children about vision boards and get them involved with helping you with yours. My son has his own vision board binder too. He cuts out pictures of toys he wants for Christmas, birthdays and for saving his money up for and glues them on a page in his vision binder. It teaches children early valuable goal skills.

Some of you have told me that you would like to put your vision boards on your computers and wanted to know if I knew of any software that you can use to make your vision boards. My friend who is also one of my coaches, Eva came up with a great software program that is called The Attraction In Action Vision Board Premium Plus.

In this program you can include your own photos, music, affirmations, personal voice recordings and more. Her new version contains a movie recorder which allows you to play your vision board as a movie on your Ipod, PDA, YouTube, those digital photo frames and even your cell phone. This is so cool! You can take your vision board with you everywhere you go. Imagine waiting in a doctor's office making the best use of your time by watching your vision board because the more you watch it the more your brain will internalize the images.

Everything that’s coming into your life you are attracting into your life. And it’s attracted by virtue of the images you’re holding in your mind. It’s what you’re thinking. Whatever is going on in your mind you are attracting to you.

Bob Proctor

You can also choose to set your vision board as your screensaver. Make it a point to spend a few moments each hour that you are in front of your computer watching your vision board and really feeling your goals in the present. You can then print it out and post it on your bathroom mirror, above your bed in your room and on your refrigerator.

As you grow and change your goals you can just go in and make the changes in a few minutes. How great is that! Eva's vision board software is only $59. You can click here to go to her site to buy the The Attraction in Action Vision Board Premium Plus.

Just click on the link above, go to Eva's site and on the right side about half way down there is a box with the words Vision Board on it. Click that box and it will take you to the Vision board software page.

Katerina, this is a great idea. When we took the Mark Leader course we had to have our goal on our key chain (what it was we wanted to have/do by the end of the course). I am definitely a visual person, in fact, I have all our listings posted on the wall in our office. Thanks for this email. I have a bulletin board in front of my desk that's going to find a new use soon!

Nestor and Katerina, what a neat idea!  To be honest,  I just put my goals on my bulletin board in front of my computer.  It is kinda boiring and then they get covered once I get really busy and have other items on top of them.  I really like this idea.  Other confession I might have to add would be the vision of a clean office desktop.  Yikes.

David- My desk is always cleared off. I file or have files all the papers on my desk and when it gets so busy that I can not do that, all the papers get put in a box! I can not work with a messy desk.

Katerina... a very interesting idea. Can't I just live my vision board?  Since I vision beautiful woman and tropic waters, just go down to the islands and live there and work from there?  lol  Well, I wouldn't get much done then.

In any case, this is a cool concept. In regards to the screen savers?? you can think of it as subliminal messages... or the voice recording ones...  ;o)

Michael- If you visualize it in your mind and dwell on it everyday, yes, that works and is good enough:)

My sister had a vision board when she was focused on finding Mr. Right.

She found him.   She married him.  He gave her the ring that she had on her vision board (without having seen her vision board, he chose something very similar).  She now drives the car from her vision board and lives in the home from her vision board.

It works!

Thanks for the reminder! In the hustle of the holidays I really didn't spend as much time as I would have liked, but as Albert Einstein has said, 'time is an illusion. there is no time, there is only now.' Brings new meaning to the phrase 'No time like the present!' No time like the present to get busy on my vision board! :) --James Wirth

Mirela- Thank you for sharing your story. I have my car from my vision board too! My white Mercedes. I also have many other things coming into being now and before from my vision boards.  I am a real goals person since I was very young.

Great post!  It definitely makes sense to have our goals not just spelled out but laid out visually!  Thank you for sharing.  Wish you a prosperous 2009!

I have been meaning to work on a visual board, and keep putting it off.  I cleaned my office yesterday and found an empty bulletin board, so today, I will start my visuals.  Thank you for the reminder and getting me in gear!  Happy New Year!

I keep my vision board above my computer monitor...right there to see every day. It serves as a great reminder and a great motivator.

I am a vision board believer, I did one a couple of months ago, but not specifically for 2009 goals.  Putting it on my desktop would be fantastic thats a great idea.  My girlfriend watches the Bachelor so I therefore watch the Bachelor and one of the contestants vying for the Bachelor was a big vision board believer.  Maybe too much, it was all she talked about.  I think it spooked the guy out and he didnt pick her to go ahead in the competition.  Despite her failure, I'm still a big believer and fan of the vision board.

Katerina, Mine is aways up where I can see it--and change it but I do keep it in front of me when I'm at my desk :)  I love your money in the wealth area!  When I had decided it was time to get to Paris last year, I just needed to find the recources to do it--and put them all up.  It works and I love using them.

Katerina - This is a timely post. I have been wanting to finish up my Business Planning for 2009 but guess where I'm at? On your blog. Promise that once I post this comment, I will work on mine.

I dont have a vision board laid out in my office. I'm not sure if I believe in them. But I am open to new ideas so I might just try it. Must Vision Boards be all about me and stuff I want? What if my Vision Board is to want what God wants for me in this business? What would you say to that?

8:50am • #20

Katerina,

I think it's very important every year to "write the vision down", but I also take my paper and pray over and ask God to do His will over it.

Katerina,
I think a vision board could definitely have some uses, both for an office and personally.  Thanks for the ideas! I am looking forward to learning more!

Katerina: Thanks for the great idea.  I must admit I used vision boards in my previous business (antique store owner) to help people furnish their homes and to help me understand what they wanted.  I never thought to use it for my goals. I am going to give it a try.

Vision board certainly does work. I've created many dreams and received them from my vision board.

Katrina, what a great idea!  I think this would be a benefit to our team.  Especially with the slow market.  I think it will be nice to have some focus and tangible goals.

Loreena- God gave you a mind and a brain. He gave you dreams and visions. He created this abundant world for you to have whatever your heart desires as long as it is good. Ask and Ye shall receive, knock and it shall be opened unto you. God never wanted you to lack for anything. God wants you to be rich and even have material things as long as you give of your substance to the poor and the needy. I can go on for hours on this subject. Pray about what God has in store for you, then make your vision boards.

Katerina, I've just started using vision boards again. They help me keep my focus. But I like going threw magazines, travel fliers and making my board look like an elementry school project. When it looks like this it's real, not overly professional. It's for me and me only.

I love this concept! Thanks for the assignment!  There are definitely some nagging little goals still hanging around from a year or two ago, it is time to get focused on them. Thanks for sharing this!

Katarina, Thanks so much for this inspiring post. I picked a large foam core board to start a vision board and never did get around to it. We are expecting a snow storm tomorrow - it will be a perfect day to work on it. Thanks for the kick in pants.!

I guess it's time for me to develop a vision board.  I need to know what I am working for, and why I need to work hard to obtain my goals.  This is a great way to put it out there for me to see on a daily basis.
