By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential Malibu Realty

I have had an overwhelming response after this house first appeared in my blog and then in the LA Times. I have scheduled several showings between now and New Years Day and will show it anytime. Get on this because it's a great house and the bank will want to move it. Call 310 699 8428 Just got back from a showing. Here is the Low Down..... The home is located up Las Flores Canyon roughly 2.3 miles. See Google Map There is ocean view. Not Huge, just a wedge, but there. Is it a fire zone? Yes, but I would say that about 95% of Malibu. It is on the Eastern or Southern end of Malibu. Apprx 2002 sq.ft. About 20 minutes to Santa Monica. The landscaping is great and most of the property has been used for grass, hardscapes, bbq area, fruit trees, etc. The house is three levels. Top is master bedroom, mid is kitchen and den, bottom is another bedroom. There are two driveways. Not an ideal starter/ family home but great for older couple/work at home/single types. Price is $1,599,000. Check out the MLS description below. Call 310 699 8428 for more info. If you enjoy information about Malibu Real Estate subscribe to my RSS feed! I toured this house recently.  For such a new house it was not well taken care of.  Some of the gluelam beams were delaminating.  The concrete floors had cracks which were bigger than cosmetic, but not quite structural.

It also seemed odd how the rest of the yard and carport had been laid out.  There was plenty of space, but it didn't seem nearly as useful as it could have been.  The carport already had a lot of weathering.  If you could get it past coastal, it would be a good idea to try putting up something else instead of the current carport.

I like good architecture and really wanted to like this house.  When I looked closely, I was disappointed.  Bring a contractor with you if you're serious.
