Over 2 Million visitors a day come to Florida according to the Florida Visitors Bureau. 1100 families arrive to live in Florida on a daily basis. Toursim of course is the main contributing factor.

But did you know...There are  64 Counties, and over 59,000 sq miles the State is huge.

Migration to Florida is expected to peak in 2020.

As the aging Baby Boomers down size and seek warmer climate in the harsh cold winter months. Osceola County is one of the fastest growing Counties in Florida.                                                                  Home to over 27,000 families, the median age is now 34.

Established in 1865 St. Cloud, was originally a retirement community for Civil War Veterans.              Small winter homes were established along the streets named after the United States of America.      More like a Monopoly Board. There is New York Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, Delaware, Michigan, Indiana, California, Illinois, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Vermont, Connecticut, Oregon, Wyoming, , you get the idea.

But the real reason head to Osceola County are the 1000's and 1000's of acres of Natural Freshwater Lakes.

.Lakes FLorida

They enjoy warm summer breezes, the sounds of birds, and the Florida Native Sand Hill Cranes which have a call resembling a Teradacdo and great fishing at some of Osceola County's beautiful Lakes. Lake Toho, Lake Lizzie, Buck Lake, Cat Lake, Bay Lake, and Lake X are just some.

Waterfront properties can still be had, if you have your heart set on Lake front Living. Beware of the lake inhabitants though!   Florida, residents

There is so much to love about Osceola County

What a shame that most tourists are locked into seeing sights like Disney World, Sea World etc when the go to Florida instead of to see the natural sights such as the lakes the swamps, parks, rivers etc.!

Hi Danny

I am always most impressed by our Brittish visitors as they make a point to seek out the Natural Florida- with Euro Disney they have the ability to see the canned entertainment over the pond-when they come here, Gators are always something they want to see, along with lower key less expensive attractions like Gatorland, Florever Florida, the Serpentarium, Weeki Wachi, Cypress Gardens, Blue Springs, The Grist Mill, Silver Springs, how about Dinosaur World?  Air boat rides, and  horse back riding whatever they have an interest in I can usually find something they enjoy doing.  Thanks for the comment.
