Radon Awareness: Northeast Tennessee Buyers and Home Owners Should Take Notice Of Study

By
Real Estate Agent with A Buyer's Best Choice Realty: Buyer Representation Exclusively

As we at A Buyers Best Choice Realty are aware of many clients who have encountered Radon levels above the EPA acceptable levels (Northeast Tennessee DOES have a high rate of Radon occurences.) when purchasing a home, the  AP article (Below), and a study done in the state of Illinois helps remind everyone to PLEASE test their homes. You may be living with dangerous Radon levels and not even know it!! Don't worry though. If you find you have Radon levels that are too high, it can be mitigated to a safe level. Take care of yourself, and your families by taking action.

I actually had a buyer from your part of the country not buy because of the worries of Radon in Granite counter tops. It turned out that report was flawed, but because they came Illinois, they just thought that all areas of the country had this problem, I really hadn't heard of Radon until this last year.

Welcome to the rain and thanks for the great information.
