Elaine Reese has written more than once about  odd blog searches.  I don't really pay that much attention to the searches that allow people to end up on my blogs.

Columbus OhioFor just last week I looked at what people searched for on my Discover Columbus blog,,, food searches, lots of food searches.....

Someone  searched for "Las Margaritas Restaurante Mexicano"- never been there... I think there is one in Westerville, I understand one of my favotire local waiters' Mango (not his real name) works there.  Mango used to work at La Costa in the Worthington area (just east of Crosswoods, just south of Polaris...vacant restaurant now.) It was the best Mexican restaurant in Columbus.

Someone searched for "scramblers columbus ohio"I blogged about the Scramblers at Polaris on my other other blog Columbus Best Blog  last week.... the other Scramber locatations?   Cleveland Ave. just south of 270 and Powell come to mind... I wrote nothing about the food or service and it was not on the blog that  I found the search on but maybe I've blogged about Scramblers before on Discover Columbus.

Someone searched for "polairus area restaurants columbus ohio"  gosh I hope I never spelled Polaris wrong, I often spell restaurant wrong. I guess spelling on searches is like horse shoes and hand grenades because they found my blog despite misspelling Polaris.

Lots of searches for "carfagnas kitchen columbus", "carfagnas kitchen restaurant" and "carfagnas kitchen"   a new Polaris area restaurant.  Carfagna's store on 161 has a great reputation in Columbus and the new restaurant has no website of their own yet.

Someone searched for "bologna sandwich columbus"... I think you gotta head to Waldo Ohio for balogna sandwiches... I do have an entry from the Chicago Tribune about the bologna sandwiches in Waldo.  Or could Carfagna's Kitchen have a great bologna sandwich?

Someone searched for "new polaris ohio restaurants".. it's there I blogged about it recently.

Someone searched for "best columbus ohio food " look at my whole best food and restaurant category...

Someone searched for "big burgers columbus ohio"  bigger is not always better.... I have blogged about burgers but I don't necessarily know if it was about big burgers.

Someone searched for "la casita columbus, oh" one of my favorite Columbus Mexican restaurants.. on Bethel.  Wonderful little tacos, very authentic!

Someone searched for "bj brewhouse westerville" I thought I had never heard of it!  Blogged about it when I blogged about Carfagna's Kitchen but the Westerville confused me.  You can see it from the corner of Sancus and Polaris Parkway so it should not have a Westerville mailing address should it?

Someone searched for "martini's restaurant (columbus ohio)"  part of the Cameron Mitchell's chain, there's one downtown that I have been to a bunch of times.  There is one close by at Polaris, that I have never been to....  I have blogged about Cameron Mitchell restaurants... did a drawing for a Cameron Mitchell's gift certificate at least once.

There is a Central Ohio pizza place that I believe the owners are searching their name over and over.  I am not going to mention the name here.

Non food searches.....on Discover Columbus last week:

Someone searched for "haunted homes ohio"  hopefully they found my Halloween entries or stuff about the house that Columbus born James Thurber grew up in...  it's haunted and I know I blogged about that

Someone searched for "place to buy a dog in columbus"  DON"T buy a dog!  Adopt from the shelters or rescue groups... I have blogged about dog's have links to shelters and rescue on my website.

Someone searched for "worthingview estates , ohio"  hmmm we have a neighborhood called Worthingview in the Worthington area... not sure if "Estates" is part of the name.  Worthingview is west of Worthington in the City of Columbus, just north west of 315 / Wilson Bridge.  I have to work to sort out Worthingway from Worthingview, from a bunch of other neighborhoods with Worthington in their names.

Someone searched for "homegard warranty from H E R real living"I think I've blogged about the warranty on one of my blogs.  I know it is on my website... people call me when their furnace or AC goes out.  Strangers.

Someone searched for "columbus ohio 1950's"HER (the company I work for, now known as Real Living HER was established in the 1950's I did blog about it...somewhere...  When your blog gets bloated it is hard for me to find things.

Someone searched for "websites similar to oodle.com"  Let me suggest Trulia.com, Zillow is different in my mind...  I have blogged about it. I have a poll.... of searches... Trulia.com, Oodle.com, Real Living's, local companies.

A few searched for "westerville ohio 4th friday" and "westerville 4th fridays"I blogged about it.  Last Friday was it.

Someone searched for "Columbus, Ohio Party Houses"  OK is that like a place you rent for a party or wedding reception or is that when the parents are gone for the weekend and the kid mentions "party" on MySpace.com and the neighbors have to call the police?

Someone searched for "fiesta festival in columbus, ga"  May I refer you to Wayne Long of Columbus Georgia's blog?

Someone searched for "columbus ga blog"  Wayne!

Someone searced for  "RESTASURANT FOR SALE COLUMBUS GA" more for Wayne!

Someone searched for "sex offender registry columbus,ga"    WAYNE!!!  Incidently Ohio has the best state sex offender site, I blogged about the eSORN site being recognized nationally.

I wonder if I get so many Columbus GA searches because I have Wayne Long on my blog roll.  There are lots of cities named Columbus but Columbus Ohio is the biggest of course.  Columbus Georgia is the only other Columbus I am constantly aware of people searching for info and ending up on my site from searches for Wayne's Best of Columbus GA site?

Someone searched for "columbus ohio blog"  Jackpot Discover Columbus is a Columbus Ohio blog... AND I have a great Columbus blog roll of other Columbus blogs!

Thanks for the mention. Maybe you should contract out with The Dispatch as a "restaurant reviewer". ;-)

There are lots of Columbus real food bloggers that are a lot closer to what the Dispatch does than what I do.  I don't eat much of it..., would not, could not do reviews.  I just know where it is.  :-)

There are lots of other restaurnats serving fried balogna sandwiches, but none are as good as the G&R in Waldo

Thanks Gart!  I believe the link on my Discover Columbus blog about the Chicago Tribune article is broken but they have to be great in Waldo if a big city paper two states a way writes about it.
