It is amazing. I find it very whiny. Why don't they all just buck up address their issues and move on. It will hurt for a while , but not near as long as i am afraid this experiment will.-Dinah Lee

I heard that the porn industry wanted a bail-out today as well.  If they get it that will just be the icing on the cake.

Everybody is in line asking for a bail out. I wonder who is going to be next.

You would think the government would want to know "exactly" how the money is going to be spent. I don't think they had bonus's and such in mind. I know I wouldn't have given them the money! The government would have been better off giving it to the people in need. Banks are still greedy and not helping those who need it.

I have to disagree with the notion that the home builders are asking for a bailout.  The NAHB is requesting for a broad housing stimulus - something the market desperately needs.  In fact in their proposal, never once did they say that any of their points would be used exclusively for new homes - but rather for all homes.

They are not asking for a loan or handout.

They do understand the bigger picture and their lobbying reflects this - which is more than the NAR is doing.

I am not a proponent of bailouts, but we also need to recognize that the housing market and broader economy need an economic stimulus.
