I've been really busy in the last few weeks and admit abandoned activerain. I am back though. I have some news. I recently adopted a kitty from Halifax Humane Society here in Daytona Beach.
I already have a kitty. She is 8 year old. She is a sweetie and a ragdoll breed. Great with children and playful, but freaks out about everything, so I was uneasy about getting a new animal in the house; especially, knowing that she very territorial and a fighter for her "rights".
So, on April 4th it happened. No, wait let me start from the beginning. My hubby and I went to see kitties in the Halifax Humane Society a weekend prior to that. I really liked a 5 month old female maine coon kitty
that already had a "1st Hold". Later, I found out that it meant that somebody already wanted her and put 1st hold. The lady at the Humane Society told me that people change their minds and I could put a "2nd Hold" on her in case those people indeed would change their mind. Needless to say, I got a phone call that Monday stating that people backed out and did not want the kitty, and that I could have her. For $70 dollars I was able to adopt the cat that had
*Spay surgery
*All vaccines including rabies
*Microchip, registration and ID tag
*Free health check from chosen veterinarian.

This week it is going to be a month since she was brought in our house. We named her Nascat, Like a
NASCAR, but with the T. After all, she is from Daytona Beach and we are well known for
NASCAR racing. The name fits her well. She was confined to a small cage and now she can run free in the house. She used to bounce off the walls first couple of weeks. Now, slowly but surely she is getting used to her new environment. She has grown a little and the best part is that our "old" kitty loves her new girlfriend. They play with each over and run after each other, so change is definitely good. Now, you ask me how is it related to real estate? Well change is good you just have to make the first step and everything else falls into its place including real estate.
Wow! You can adopt a cat for $70. The people up here complain about $25 to adopt an animal.
Looks like the new cat has taken up well with your family. Good Luck.
