Cindy ~ Love the way the fireplace turned out!  What other colors do you have going on in the room (i.e. artwork, are all the walls currently the same color, furniture, carpet, etc.)? Right now the stone looks like it blends in with the wall color in the picture.  Do you want that subtlety or more color impact?  Also, you need to take into consideration the colors you actually like (and the other members of your family as well).  Or, what colors do you all dislike, and eliminate from there.

Cindy ~ I went into the Benjamin Moore website (to the area where you can pick a room and play with color).  They had a living room with some stone that looked similar to yours.  I was originally thinking a warm golden yellow (from what you said above), but based on the way the colors were showing on my monitor, I didn't like the way it looked with the stone (the colors that had too much yellow).  They did have gold colors that seemed to work, but they come across as looking beige on my monitor.   A "safe" way to choose would be to pick a color that is in the stone work.
