Meme’d again?!?  Oh my!

Shirley Parks is one of my subscribers, so how could I say "no" when she asked so nicely?

Actually, I’ve lost count how many times, but I can promise you this… There’s nothing you don’t know about me, if you’ve read all my meme’s and my interview by Adam Waldman for Sunday, Bloggy Sunday. In fact, my children don’t know half the things I’ve written in meme’s on ActiveRain.  Some of you may not have read them, however, so I’m going to repeat a few.  It’s either that or make up some things that never happened.

  1. piano - istockphoto.comI was named “Betty Crocker Future Homemaker of America” during high school, based on an essay that was a class assignment. Okay, you can stop laughing now!

  2. I have bionic ears - seriously! I have plastic bones and ear drums made out of skin taken from my neck during three pioneering operations by the surgeon who created this procedure. It’s now a fairly routine treatment for repairing ears damaged by excessive infections. As a result of these operations, I was able to put away the hearing aid I had been wearing.

  3. I'm a pianist, and elementary School Music Teacher was my first career. Then my husband was transferred to a ship out of San Diego, California, where they had no music teachers, and I got a job in a real estate office.  The rest is history.

  4. I once caught my high-school age son skipping school when I pulled up behind him at a traffic light.  A high-speed chase ensued as he tried to evade capture, but I finally caught him and dragged him into the principal’s office to face the music.

  5. I won my first golf tournament as a nine-year old, and passed on this family sport to my children.  In fact, two of them went to college on golf scholarships, and I'm looking forward seeing their children play this summer with the pint-sized golf clubs we got them.  My son is already teaching his one-year old how to hold a golf club.  LOL.

  6. Even though I was born in Washington, D.C. and lived in the D.C. area most of my life, I've never been to an inauguration or related festivities or stood in line for a viewing of a deceased president's casket in the Capitol, visited the Vietnam Memorial or Washington Monument, or even attended a Washington Redskins game. But I love Washington, and you might catch me taking photos of the national monuments out the window of a moving car on any given day (as a passenger, of course).

  7. I’m a walking environmental meter when I show homes. If my throat closes up, a cat lives in the house, whether we see/smell it or not; if my chest starts to tighten up and I’m about to start wheezing, there’s mold in the house. This comes in handy sometimes if allergens are a concern for homebuyers.

MeMe Sign

I remember how exciting it was to get my "first" meme, so I'm going to tag seven people I found in the ActiveRain Newbies Group.  Folks, your rules are at the bottom of this post so be sure to read them, follow them, and pass them on to seven other people.   May I suggest you try to tag folks who are relatively new to ActiveRain, because it's less likely they've already done one or more.

Jason Neumann Kelowna Real Estate Agent

Becky Brand - Wisconsin REALTor

Trish Greene - Team 242 REALTOR

Bruce and Mary Smith -Savannah Lakes Village

Bruce Brockmeier - Internet Marketing Consultant for REALTORS

Meredith Laws Windermere Real Estate

Eileen Hsu -Ellens New York City

THE RULES:

  • Create a blog post with a link to the person who so happily tagged you for a MEME.  See above.
  • List all of these rules in your post. Feel free to cut and paste this.
  • Share 7 things that others may not know about you. Do or have I HAD a life outside of real estate?
  • Identify 7 other ActiveRain members to tag for a MEME, and provide links to their blogs in your own MEME post.
  • Contact each of the tagged members and let them know that you were indeed fast enough to catch them and that you did indeed tag them...no matter how much they say you missed them!
  • No schoolyard rules in this MEME, nope you gotta do it if you are tagged.  (I hear the MEME police are out in force, rounding up folks who ignore this "invitation")
  • Post a link to your MEME in the comments of this post - the one in which you were publicly tagged!)
  • Include your post in the MEME's Group.  (I actually sent you an invite to the MeMe's Group, which included your notice that you were tagged for a MEME.

Most of all, enjoy!

Why would your son try to out run his Mom????  Thats just asking for trouble.  AT the very least I would have proceeded to the nearest flower shop to buy you something.  I hope he learned to think on his toes a little quicker HAHA!!!

#1- I always knew you were smart. #2 - Very interesting and informational. #3a - I already said you were smart. #3b - I kind of regret not becoming an elementary school teacher. #4 - Speaking as a Mom, that is hilarious.  Good for you. #5 - Not only are you smart, you are athletic as well. #6 - I have heard that most people never really explore their own hometown. #7 - I am sensitive to environmental conditions in homes but my husband is super-sensitive to those things.

Thanks for being a good sport.  Have a great day.~

Thanks for your comments, my friends - I am off to Ocean City for the weekend so this is my final post and comment on ActiveRain 'til next week.  It's going to be cold, but I'll enjoy the ocean view.

Like the sign!  Yes, you got us.  We didn't get your first one but got the one today!  Have a wonderful time in Ocean City and stay warm.  It's going to be 7 degrees here in South Carolina tonight so I can imagine it'll really be cold everywhere!

Hi Margaret!  WOW, great MeMe!  I sit reading this in complete and utter jealousy--scholarships for both boys!  I'm in the middle of two in college at the same time--this market isn't helping any either!!!

I like the fact your are an environmental meter. I can smell cats at a house, and often wonder if my clients can as well.

Margaret, This was very interesting that you for sharing.  Many of the things you say don't surprise me because they are the achievements of an accomplished person.

I am sometimes told I have bionic hearing, which I really do, but this is just to compensate for my overly poor eyesight, for which I might get laswer surgery someday.

The "high speed chase" story is a favorite in our family, and no one tells it better than my son does.

I hope you all will support the people I tagged - It's always hard to write a meme, and everyone in this group seems to be a good sport about it.  Hopefully they'll post a link here in the comments.

I did it!!!  Here is a link to my MeMe!  Thanks for tagging me - I'm sorry it took so long for me to respond.  I look forward to other MeMes!  The only thing left to do is send each of my invitees their individual invitations.  Something to do after I catch a little sleep!
