ICNY by Kim Wood

Sometimes.... it just takes words to bring you back to some fun memories:

  • When Harry Met Sally
  • Breakfast on the Roof?
  • Museums we pass
  • Flask
  • NYPD has words with someone in our party
  • Newlyweds at The Paramount
  • #A Group Tattoo
  • Glove Swapping
  • An extra subway stop
  • Penn Station Tears
  • Chocolate & Cards
  • Sugarcane
  • Broadway at 4am - all linked up
  • On the corner, "You're sexy"
  • Street Peddler walked side-by-side cause someone was "sweet to talk to everyone"
  • Black Bean Ice Cream
  • Daily Mug Shot Fan
  • Scavenger Hunting
  • Tastykakes
  • NYPD in action - cameras in hand -  even possibly in a precarious spot
  • "My tongue is on FIRE"
  • Red Robe fashion
  • Pepsi bottle surprise
  • I want my $2.00 back!
  • Waking up with Pizza in her bed?
  • One stall = Three Girls
  • Jay's still thinking about it...
  • Tongue in cheek - I mean ear
  • #weirddesserts
  • Curly Hair in another pic? Where?
  • We didn't see Wall Street and we were right there?
  • Pool "Entertainment"
  • Girls in the Men's Room?

I'm sure I've missed a lot..... feel free to carry on.... :)  THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES Y'ALL !!  For those friendships bonded closer, for those I got to hug for the first time, for those I just connected with ..... yay!

Pizza Pizza.

Couch Potatoes.

WV Sandwich.

Wet myself until 11.

I'd like to see you walk down the streets of France with THAT!  (360 camera)

But I think you got most of them.  Def. brings back some memories.

The Eagles Suite

The letter of the day

Eating at the kids table

and

Don't forget to lick the window

I think you covered most of them-or it's just too early for me to think. This was my first time meeting anyone from the RE.net and it was an awesome week! Admittedly a little overwhelming, but severely wonderful anyway!!

  • I woke up next to a pizza.
  • Hey cabbie, what's your name?
  • Oh dear God, it's 4 o'clock in the morning again.
  • F**k me! Could it get ANY colder?
  • I like anything with 'lumberjack' in it.
  • That really IS the Empire State Building!
  • I believe I'll have another cocktail.

It was SO great to see old friends, make new ones and finally meet some "IRL" I've know for awhile.

Hi Kim - Awesome meeting you at Inman. Each attendee has their own "Inman story" to tell.

Here are a few highlights I experienced:

  • Meeting all my RE Twitterbuds IRL!
  • The RE.Net social media community "rocks"
  • RE Bar Camps are awesome. When an RE Bar Camp is held near you everyone who can go should go!
  • Mojito Friends.com should have won the Biz Plan presentation! Congrats to the winners!
  • All aspects of Inman continue to improve. Great job Joel and Daniel!
  • Incredible father/son bonding time with @dakno (AKA Brad Carroll)
  • Great memories like meeting David Letterman cast member Biff Henderson at Rupert Gee's Hello Deli and finding out Biff is from Durham, NC!
  • The chance to hear and meet (with photo op) @garyvee
  • Meeting IRL Martin Bouma (@MartinBouma) and Stephanie Bell (@StephanieBell)
  • The opportunity to tour and shoot some killer pics of NYC (again w/Brad). Check them out at the Inman Group on Flickr.

There are so many more Inman memories but the brain is focused on all the "to do's" that have cluttered my Monday morning. Thanks for sharing yours!

I think that a great time was had by all, and I know that everyone who attended not only had fun, but learned a lot in the process.  As great as Inman Connect NYC '09 was, I have a very strong feeling that Connect San Francisco '09 is going to be even BETTER.

Kim... sorry that I really didn't get to meet you....  I saw you with Sarah, but things were just moving to quickly and not enough time. I just didn't have the time to come up for 3 days... and being sick didn't help any. Looks like you had a great time from all the pics that I have seen on flckr and such....  next time. I am also putting together an AR gathering together in Philly in the 2nd week of February.  let me know...   ps... these kinds of friendships and networking is awesome and great.

Hey Kim - what fun that looks like it was, and I loved reading through all the 'memories' in these comments.  I wish I could have been there with you all.  What does "IRL" stand for anyway?

I guess one of the best things about it was the combinbation of fun, information and resources.  Sorry we missed you as it was only a limited time.  In addition to the fun, it was our first time to be at an event like that so we really soaked up all the information : )  The people there were just awesome.

You can't wear tennis shoes in NYC, can you?

Can I see your ID please?

@ Jeff: send me the Philly info. Susan Mangigian is there, and so are a few other Tweet-peeps and blogging buddies, not to mention my Uncle William and a bunch of cousins. I may be able to pull that off. Will it be little minion friendly or shall I need a minion sitter? :-)

LOL@ C-Sally-C. Just don't leave the island when I'm there, okay? Seriously. Cindy and I have been talking about going and we are clueless (LMAO).

Ahhhh Kim, you've covered so much (LOL).Here's my two cents:

Rare eye candy.

Super sushi.

Love, laughter and hugs.

Looking forward to San Francisco!  (Off topic PS -- The agents at my meeting were VERY enthused about the 2.0 stuff @BradHanks & I presented, so I'm sure I'll have several of them with me too!  Thanks for your thoughts & support during that meeting.)
