Success and Failure

By
Education & Training with Real Estate Grad School

This is an excerpt from a recent email I sent to a coaching client of mine.
The key to your more successful year is not how to tweak it now.  It is implementing it over the next twelve months and tweaking it as you go along based on the results it brings.
Please be sure to never be hard on yourself for missing deadlines, never be self critical for not sticking with the plan, successful people miss more of the targets they set than they hit, particularly in the early phases of implementation.  Athletes are the easiest example because they keep the stats.  Growth and success is about learning and experiencing.  Learning from experience comes out of an open and clear mind.  A self critical mind is less open and less clear.  So, celebrate your victories and celebrate your failures as the learning experiences that are more vital and more important to your success than your victories.
In the next week, practice celebrating each moment of disappointment for the opportunity to learn that it is.
