Does Active Rain / Localism really work? ~~~~

By
Mortgage and Lending with Apex Home Loans NMLS #369577

I have closed three deals directly related to emails I have received from Active rain. I have also noticed my name turns up higher and more often in the search engines. I have been fairly inactive in the past month. It is amazing how the word has spread about this community. I hope everything here stays positive and all of us can benefit from AR

In addition, I have developed some new relationships that seem to be blossoming. It seems as if Localism is really where you want to shoot for.  I am not exactly sure how you get there but it sure seems to be working for me.

Please share your thoughts and experiences about Active rain / Localism here......  We will all benefit from it.

Lewis,

I've seen my hits on the linked website jump from about 8000 per month to almost 14000 this month. Coincidence? I do not think so.

That is way cool.  I have been in the AR community for about two months and am still waiting for this to happen.  I know that I have to implement several pieces of advice given by fellow Rainers to get more notice on the web.

Lewis, I agree wholeheartedly!  Before AR, I Googled my name and found nothing related to me or my business. Now just being in the AR community for a week, blogging consistently and staying active, I have moved from zero to hero on Google!  I have brought it up to my broker and other agents in my office, "What will your clients find if they Google you?"  Sure enough, if you are handling your clients largest investment of their life, don't you think you should have some sort of credibility?  AR and Localism definitely provides that.

Yes Chris and Ben -   I am very excited about AR and blogging........   I feel very guilty that I have not blogged here for a month. I spend an hour rambling tonight and wallah!   hit after hit.....    I promise myself to blog every night ---  everyone should..........  it really works

This entire site is a HUGE resource that too few people are using. I love this site and will continue to use it.

The numbers will probably explode even more now after AR was mentioned in Realtor Magazine this month. What an amazing resource! (Not to mention fun and addictive)

I am receiving the same results! Before I began blogging on Active Rain, I was no where to be found. Now, I am on the first page on Google! The surpising point is that I have not been blogging for very long; just a couple of weeks.

I got a listing from Localism and ActiveRain before I really began participating.  Now that I'm into it, I'm expecting more great business!
