"Movement" is not necessarily a sign that your business is succeeding.
One can be frantically running around like a chicken with their head cut off and not necessarily be getting anywhere. The amount of blood spread around would never be considered a sign of success for the chicken---however it might to whomever is making dinner. Sometimes even doing "all the right things" isn't even enough. Of course there is always the danger that if what we are doing is "not working" that perhaps what we are doing is the "wrong thing," that we have the wrong definition of "working," or perhaps we are just not doing the right thing "anymore." Even the definitions can change.
These Statue Mimes are making their business work by standing absolutely still----going nowhere.
It is very easy to say, when things are going along in a way that we "like," that we must be doing something right----and even that may not be true, if we happen to be in the right place at the right time, are lucky, or have rich parents, things can often appear to be better than they actually are. The human mind can basically make up any story it wants----to fit just about any circumstance we can think of. And you can be sure that no two people will make up exactly the same story----our perspectives will always be different----even about the same issue.
Conversely, when we think things are not going well, they may in fact be better than we allow ourselves to think.
All of this comes around to "judgment." We all make judgments about this or that as opposed to just letting things be the way they are. In my opinion nothing ever changes until we can allow things to be the way they are. This is not about "agreement with" or "support for" or "control of" the way things are----and it certainly is not about "ignoring" anything. It is all about letting things "be" so that what is really so, or true, can become apparent. It is all about allowing the river to flow in the direction it is going, figuring out where the banks of the river are, and building your dreams where they are likely to be safe. No amount of pretending we understand the river will help until we have truly observed the river---until we have let it be.

PS, for those of you that are new to my blog (or for some other "unexplained" reason have never noticed)
all pictures and smiley-face inserts (emoticons) (when I use them) have messages that show up when you point at them with your cursor.

DeCroe, is my "etherial" home inspector assistant and occasionally flies into my blog and other people's blogs to offer assistance. To find out more about her beginnings just click on Raven.

That's a great image, Charles...
I've never seen miming done in Spanish, only in English. I'll show this to my daughters who are both fluent in Spanish and see if they can decipher for me. ;-/
