SO, it's the second Monday of 2009 and we're into the second week of the new year.

How are you doing with your new year's resolutions? As for me, I haven't made more sales yet - but the year is young. I haven't lost any weight yet - but those left over deserts are so good. I haven't watched less TV - but all of those playoff games are on at the moment.

If you're like me, those resolutions were goals for a moment; great ideas - but my world wouldn't have changed much anyway, even if I followed though.

The stock market is going down and unemployment went up again. There are still wars going on. I opened my computer and the headline read, "'Unrelentingly Bad': Even the Optimists See Hard Economic Road Ahead." So it appears that at this moment the world hasn't changed either.

But, it surely will get better when we have a new President. That's a week away so in a moment, things should get better.

Might I suggest that, this is the moment; the moment for a drastic and far reaching change in the way you and I think and behave. That's right, "in this moment, right "now" is a good time to begin a new way of looking at life; a new world view.

If in this moment we make a decision to look to see the sunshine of the day every day, it might change our day. If we commit to look at your friends, co-workers and clients to see their best traits and not look to find their greatest flaws, it might even change the way we see ourselves. Choosing to ignore the "bad news" on the TV and in the newspaper; trusting that the world is a good place to be could be a new way to think.

In these times of recession, job cuts, falling real estate values and all the bad "stuff, I think it's time for a change. There's no better time than this moment right NOW.

What would happen if we started looking inside ourselves to see our strengths and abilities? We do carry within us, energy and power. And if we each choose to use this energy and project it into the universe, into our immediate situation into this moment - who know what possibilities exist.

We don't have to wait until next week, or a changing of a year, or even tomorrow to define who we are and who we want to be. We can project the energy and power we have within; finding the positive, living in this moment with hope. I believe this can change our lives and maybe the world around us.

Best wishes for a fresh outlook on life!

I hope your today is filled with happiness, health, joy and peace.

The Power of Now - Eckhart TolleEckhart Tolle talks about these ideas in his books, A New Earth and The Power of Now. I do recommend them both.
