Helping People On Fumes And Morsels

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

MorselsIn working with clients in Real Estate or Staging or the Mortgage area or Title areas note a certain type. We all should be

Helping People On Fumes And Morsels.

These ones coming to us on fumes need a boost from us. This would be in the area of our transferred high energy and our buoyant spirit. Some people are just beaten down and need that smile and that kind word. Put gas back in their emotional tank.

Abundance

Next think about them coming to you with just morsels to eat. This is a hunger they have. They have not been fed in a long time. They you might say are famished.

This is the hunger for love and acceptance. Treat them with respect. Be quiet and listen. Give them your undivided attention. Replace the morsels in their life with whole loaves of bread. Stay with them until their bellies are full.

How do you know you can treat and help those that cross your path who show up at your doorstep with fumes and just morsels?

Because you are coming from abundance. Abundance has been around you all along once you discover it is there. You are the strong one that lifts others up. You have worked hard to be good at your craft and become an excellent people person. This is a people business. You have resources. Above all you have the will.

Make a difference and give YOUR smile to the downtrodden. It changes the world.

One life and one face at a time.

Some times it doesn't take much to lift someones spirits. A pat on the back is always welcome.

As always, enjoyed reading your post.  Giving someone a big SMILE -- is a great gift to the one giving and the one receiving.

Gary... this is definitely a people business..... and being human myself, I sometimes need the same, because I am on fumes from trying to help so many... and just making them understand. And when they fight you back, because another lender made a promise that I know won't happen, the wind is taken out of my sail. But yes, a smile goes a long way... but I talk to most of my clients on the phone. So then what?  ;o)  Seriously, a warm voice and understanding can go a long way also...

Gary:  We all have far more to give than we realize.  And the more we give, the more we get back in return...maybe not from the same people.

Now that I have met you in person, I can tell that you are the kind of person that just knows when someone needs a smile.   Perhaps consistency of good will helped you master the timing?

This resonates with me Gary. I have a client who has had a double heart by-pass and wants to buy a home near his daughter. Although he owns a home further away, he has rented it out and is now renting a home near his daughter in the neighborhood where he wants to buy. I showed him a home yesterday that didn't quite fit his needs. He apologized and said he was sorry that I didn't make a sale that day. I replied without thinking, "I'm not in the sales business; I'm in the people business." And I was shocked when those words came out of my mouth!

Thank you for your post. I woke up in complete financial panic this morning. Biz is down and savings dwindling fast. The best way out of worry, fear or depression is to help someone less fortunate. Thanks for the reminder.

What an inspirational post!  This is a message we all should take very seriously.  A smile cost us nothing and kind words of inspiration cost us nothing, but they can mean a world of difference to someone else.

Gary, I loved this thought and wish we all slowed down a bit to remember it every day....it sometimes takes almost nothing to turn a person's day around and we can all do it every day!  Great thoughts and a terrific reminder.
