Remove all clutter from the house that includes pictures on the walls. Take down personal photos and put away.

Clean all surfaces in the bathroom and kitchen. Make them look bright and shiny.

Hang new towels up in the bathrooms.

Clean off all counter tops for except for a couple of items.

Take out unnecessary furniture which will make the room look bigger.

Remove everything off the outside of the refrigerator.

The whole house needs to be clean and shiny.

Check your paint jobs - are all the walls freshly painted or in great shape?

Make sure all the windows and blinds are clean and in good repair.

Make sure there is no pet odor. Have someone do a pet smell check. I can recommend a great pet odor eliminator if you need one.

Make sure the carpet is clean and free from any stains. If it is old replace it with neutral carpet.

Air out your home and make sure there are no odors, like a damp smell from the basement. Don't overwhelm the buyer with heavy perfumes from candles. In fact I don't recommend candles as they have caused several house fires.

This list can get  you started. I have more ideas and would be happy to share them with you.
