Everyone’s heard what a great time it is to buy a house. “It’s a buyer’s market,” the headlines shout. “Banks are desperate to unload foreclosures!”
But you’re a smart person – you know that even in this climate, many things can stand in the way of getting that one home that’s right for you.
Don’t let that happen. There’s no need to miss out on the joy and satisfaction of moving day, when all the hard work pays off.
I’m here to tell you – you can avoid the pitfalls, find and close on your new home in a matter of weeks. Here’s how . . .
1. Plan . . . Read about it here . . . And here.
2. Prepare . . . Read about it here.
3. Prowl . . . Read about it here.
4. Pounce . . . Read about it here.
The planning stage is fun – but don’t get bogged down here.
Proper preparation means getting your finances ready. This is not a step to skip, or skimp on.
Prowl the internet, prowl the neighborhoods, prowl each house. This can be time-consuming with so many available homes.
Pounce on it when you find it. Many people, their minds full of stories about how favorable the market is for buyers, are shocked and heartbroken when they delay, and then lose ‘their’ house to someone quicker.
That’s a skimpy little outline, I know. But this is a blog post, not a novel. I’ll detail the planning step in tomorrow’s post, and the preparation step the next day, and … well you get the idea! And I promise to share the secrets I’ve learned along the way.
Be sure to subscribe so you’ll get the whole story.

I write posts on real estate issues and local events in the Denver metro area, especially those communities between Denver and Boulder, as a public service. My hope is to give people an idea of the ‘flavor’ of our community, in case they’re new or moving to the Denver area.
I am a residential real estate agent, happily helping folks buy a house or sell a house in the beautiful and friendly suburbs northwest of Denver.
