I hear a lot of complaining about calling prospects in this business.  It doesn't work, it's not the right time of day, I have other clients to work with, it's not for me.  I agree that your hot clients do come first.  But what happens when your done with that client?  If you have nothing coming down the pipeline then you are at a stand still and have to start all over again from the beginning.  If we are constantly working on our prospects and working our leads, hot and cold.  You always have something in the fire.  I have been in sales long enough to understand that the lazy salespeople will weed themselves's out and the strong motivated ones will be around through the ups and downs.  Make your calls, even if it's only 5 people per day.  Because as in any sales business "The worst thing you can do is nothing".....
