What Can You Do, To Help the Real Estate Market?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Fran Rokicki Realty, LLC

Are you active in your community?  Visable to your clients and vendors.  Do you attend the local Realtor functions?  These are just some of steps that you can take to solidfy your business.

Stay in consistent contact with your clients.  The newbees, the current and the former clients.  Stop by and say hello.  Weekends are best.  Have a print out of the local market conditions.  There is probably more that is selling than most of the people think. Have them hear the news from you, not, from the news media.  Let them know that the rates are still low.  Local banks are the best at getting a mortgage now.  Maybe, their local credit union, too.

Send them a card.  Once a month.  Give them a call just to see how they are doing in this new year, 2009.  You must have the time to block out an hour or so, a day!  Make each individual call, short and sweet.

Ask them what they think of the market.  They may know something about their neighborhood that you don't know yet.  Always good to exchange information.

Always let them know that you appreciate and value them.  No matter what the economy or market is doing, it is always good to be grateful for the people who do have trust and faith in you.

Keep you head up, really listen when your clients are talking with you, keep yourself motivated (daily affirmations will make a difference) and stay positive.  It is hard work, but, it is very rewarding work.

Go out and go after it!

Frances it really is a shame we take days or months to get a deal done and then too many agents stop talking to them once the deal is done.

Good article.  Communication is the key for future leads and referrals from clients.  We send an email card on holidays, birthdasy to past clients.  We have received a lot of good leads this way.

Hi Frances, I have started meeting one on one with past clients, but I am trying to do a customer appreciation party ( nothing big just a little get together) for meet and greets. I am pairing people up for what they have in common. I had one a week ago for my past clients that were small business owners and in February I am doing one for families at chuck N cheese, cost is less than a $100. In March I am doing a garden show at Home Depot and everyone will be given a potted plant at no cost to me. I am planning now for April.

Erica, Did you know that you could be volunteering and meet an agent who will like you so much, that, oops, she wants to now come work for you?   Just had to say it!  You know how bad I am.  I have a Coach:)  We are starting the BLITZ and OMG, it is just so awesome!  Have a good weekend!  I will be showing houses;)  Whoo Hoo!
