You also will find guidance for managing and growing your company, including content on topics such as leadership skills, technology, hiring procedures, managing employees including minors, business laws, business statistics, market research and paying taxes. It also provides access to forms and compliance assistance when you need it, as well as links to locatons of regional development centers and mentoring programs.

According to the site's current About Us page: "Over 40 different Federal agencies assist or regulate businesses. With so many sources of information, finding what you want can be complicated and time-consuming. It was developed to provide better customer service for small businesses interacting with the Federal Government." It also provides access to tuturials and guidance for all phases and aspects of the business life-cycle: Launching, Managing, Growing and Getting Out.
Business.gov is a collaborative effort managed by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Partner executive departments include Department of Commerce (DOC), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of the Interior (DOI), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Labor (DOL), and Department of Transportation (DOT). It also partners with the following independent agencies and government corporations: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), General Services Administration (GSA), and Social Security Administration (SSA).
