Your looking at the water heater pipe inlet, as you can see along the top is corroded. At time of your Home Inspection, I did not witness the pipe leaking today. This should alert you a repair is needed with in the very near future. Recommend that a qualified licensed plumber, should be called to repair or correct as may be needed.

Dale I would suggest getting it fix as soon as possible. Don't want to take a chance with water damage that could happen even with a pin-hole leak.
