How To Succeed in the Coaching Process

General Expectancies:

•·        Consistency.  Bi weekly is often the best option, though some people are able to go week to week or close to it.  But no matter the amount of sessions, they need to be seen as a priority.  A serious personal situation or an urgent client matter may take precedent, but these meetings have to be seen as a priority not an option that can be pushed aside.

•·        Clear Commitment: This is to your coach, yourself, and most important the process.

•·        Focus on Being Accountable and Getting Things Done:  You have a metrics Matrix that YOU set goals for.  Reasons don't bring results and procrastination does not bring productivity.

What You Can Expect From The Coach:

•·        Authentic and Sincere Support

•·        Curiosity, Interest, Guidance, and Support

•·        Experience, Strategy, and Collaborative Partnership

      Your Key Responsibilities:

•·        The filling out and sending of the Metrics Matrix

•·        Timelines to accomplish those goals that are not on matrix or extend past a weekly measure.

Coaching works, but it is not a process that is used just because you are in a slump or are lost in what to do next.  Coaching is about creating habits, improving mindset, and consistently improving.

To use a metaphor: Coaching is like climbing a mountain with no peak...the higher you go, the different your view.  How much you see is up to you.
