Day 30: Happy 4th Birthday Peyton
We are a week into 2009 and it appears that there aren't a lot of buyers in my market so soon after the Holidays. But we've got a whole year ahead of us and it is going to be great.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish my oldest girl, Peyton, a very Happy 4th Birthday. She got a Cinderella dress, crown and shoes for her birthday as well as several other things. She also was surprised by a trip to Monkey Joes, a huge indoor playground full of gigantic inflatable slides, castles and bouncers. She had a blast!
Watching her play with sister Addi and brother Harrison made me realize why I work so hard. It's to spend more time with my family. I currently spend my days working real estate and my evenings tending bar on the Intracoastal Waterway. 2008 was rough for me but I know business is going to be better in 2009.
I'm not doing it alone. I've got the support of real estate professionals all across the country. Active Rain is a powerful network and I'm sure that the associations that I'm making through this program, "100 Days to Change", will provide many referrals in the years to come.
Say your Affirmations each morning when you wake up, keep doing your proactive activities through time blocking, meet and greet, call your database, talk the talk and sell yourself. As Brian Buffini says, "Win the Day."
Keep up on your journals. Even if you only right down a few random thoughts or ideas you have throughtout the day, write them down. They could prove to be worth lots of money down the road. These ideas manifest you know.
Keep your attitude positive and remember to smile often.
Paul "100 Days to Change"
Hey Paul! I love the picture of your little girl! Bet she did have fun at her birthday party! Good luck to you in 2009 and keep up the good work. Looks like we are NC neighbors so smile because I'm seeing some activity in Pinehurst and it seems like more buyers are out looking than in past years. The beach won't be far behind.
