The transition from one year to the next seems to give a clean slate with hope for a year improved over the previous year. What will you do with that clean slate? Now that the New Year is here, how about developing a new strategy to help increase your production (or at least maintain it)?

I really believe that in the age of instant information at your fingertips that you must have a solid internet presence. I do understand that not everyone is familiar and comfortable with the internet and all of its nuances. With that said, it is important to keep in mind that most people have an e-mail account that they check on a regular basis. It is also important to remember that most people do know how to perform a basic, rudimentary search. So whether your average client is an internet pro or a relative newbie to the technology, the likelihood of your being found on the internet is of prime importance. An integral part of being able to be found is to be hosted on a reliable webhosting service. If your webhost is always down, then nobody can find you. Another important part of your web presence is the time it takes your website to load and the ease through which visitors can locate what they are looking for. The attention span of the average web surfer is very short, so you have to be able to present them with useful, informative, and relevant information quickly.

With the New Year in full swing, if you haven't taken a second look at your web presence, you owe it to yourself to do so.

You are so on point. As the year came to an end, I like many others I'm sure, assessed my business. Upgrading my website is the area where there is the most room to make a difference. I now have a marketing plan with seo and have high hopes that with hard work 09" can be great. For me it's the great unknown and way out of my comfort zone. Fun, but very scarry.

I spent the last 2 days tweaking stuff and I am not even close to being done. I have a few ideas I plan to share with everyone in the next few days but I want to get them up and running first.

Rich, I am glad you pointed this out. I try and keep all my information up to date, but it is a good reminder nonetheless. Have a great weekend!

Rob - You will be successful I'm sure. Half the battle is having a plan, the other half is following through with that plan.

Shane - I reassess my site and the tools I use on it quite often to make sure they are working for me as I need them to.

Bo - It is important to keep all your info current.
