Old? Who's Old? Who said that anyway.....

By
Real Estate Agent

Since we are somewhat house bound due to cold,  snow, winds, snow, cold....oh wait, I already said that...

We received an e-mail from our Builder friend with a delightful view of...OLD...

I do not know from whom he received this e-mail, so will paraphrase it for this post....

  verbal picture:

   older woman sitting on hidden stool or stump
   long grey skirt,  dark cardigan sweater, dark striped top
   hands neatly folded in lap
  legs primly placed with sensible shoes.
  a serious look on face, eyes looking off to distant......?

 she is positioned in the lower section of the scene
 behind her is a " sampler" ready to frame
 it is ecru in color
 it has "cross stitched designs"
 upper left and lower right are flowers,leaves, curly things

 on the entire right side of sampler
 there are words "cross hatched"
 just like every sampler ever made
 ever framed.......
 the Message is :

  " as I grow older....
  things do not bother me as much.
  I was congratulating myself for becoming Patient"...

 then, I realized....
I just don't give a ____( rat's patutti)

   anyone know just what is a patutti or how to spell it?

This e-mail is hanging in Sal's office where it can be seen and pondered upon at will.

 We must really be 'Patient", as the only things that we 'yell' at or loudly 'converse' with are;
   most all Political persons who
speak Outloud  and I 'converse' with this computer, ATT, Outlook & most everything else connected to a wall plug at some point, for some reason.

 Really don't think much more need  be said, do You?

So,  be patient,  converse when needed,  and always---laugh, laugh, LAUGH.

 Oh, of course ;Sell, Sell, SELL  or to quote another Builder that Sal worked with at the beginning of his Real Estate career, " Get a deal, Buddy Boy, Get a Deal"  This man is now building in Heaven & probably telling everyone up there to 'get a deal..'

Happy selling out there.

p.s. spell checker questions 'patutti' too

God bless Sal.  Those who are patient are still sitting on that stump.  Those of us still standing know we either need to move it or lose it.  Thanks for the inspiration!

I have a differing view. I have more patience now that I am a real estate professional as there are some circumstances that are simply beyond our control and we must wait them out (like bank approval on a short sale)

Dear Barb and Sal,

I don't think I understand what you were trying to communicate.

It is cold as hell up there.

You received a poetic email that doesn't make sense.

Patutti, or whatever, sounds like a rat turd to me!

I hope you defrost soon!

Don S.---Sal says Thanks for the comment directed his way--printed it off for him. He got a real
            chuckle out of it.  We think that you caught the intent well.

Vicky---your view is a good way to explain the situation--one does not have much control over SS
         no matter what the State..case in point,,neighbor across the street bid in Oct. '08 on a SS;
         3 other bids were taken, they were told theirs was the lowest entertained by the Bank in ques.;
         In Dec. their bid was accepted on said SS---paperwork too slow for reality--house went into
         foreclosure--they still had the best bid only They got Home for $12,000. LESS than the bid.
    They gained, Bank & Agent did not, but....just one more story in a long line. Good luck with any
    SS you may be waiting upon.

Barbara,  sorry that the 'verbal picture' was not enough. I accept your wishes for ...'defrost soon'   message.  Don't think it happens soon this year.

UPDATE: evening news, local, stated that it is -15 in Hell (Michigan) & since we here in Macomb are
             -4 to 0 degrees, we are Hotter than Hell. Wow, there goes the statement "...it will be a cold
            day in Hell before...."

Happy laughs .
