Elkhart Indiana Fox 28 News Morning Show Says Foreclosure Prevention Does not Work!

A Pre-foreclosure sale of your home IS Foreclosure Prevention!  In today's uncertain time in Elkhart Indiana, and beyond, that is one thing that I am certain of.  White the hosts of the Morning Show on Fox 28 News had a very nice conversation with a well known Real Estate Veteran and a very thorough Loan Officer, about the opportunities of buying a home in today's market, there was no mention as to why we have such a huge inventory..  As they stated, there has been no time in the housing market prior to NOW that both home prices and interest rates are at very low rates. But the subject of why we have such an inventory was not brought up.  Unemployment in Elkhart County alone is over 12%, jobs are hard to come by and folks are in trouble with their mortgage payments.  Adjustable rate mortgages are resetting and with loss of income or even reduction of income, the payments cannot be made. THERE IS HOPE!  Loans can be modified, for and homes can be sold, if they are priced for this market. A Pre-foreclosure sale of your home is Foreclosure Prevention!

While all REALTOR's(r) go through extensive education and MOST National Branded Franchises also train new recruits, not all REALTOR's are created equal.  Some specialize in Fine Home Sales, or Bank Owned Properties (REO's) and others are specifically interested in working only with Buyers, or Sellers or even Investors, there is a handfull educated in Pre-Foreclosures.  I am such a person.  I have taken courses in how to negotiate with your Lender a workout program.  I have experience.  I have seen sales close and Home Owners relieved of all financial responsibilities, so they can start over.  See my references here on Activerain.

Evelyn, you make a great point about how a client will need an agent that is aware of how to properly set-up and close a pre-foreclosure transaction.  The last thing a client needs to do is list their home on the market with an agent that lacks successful experience in the short sale world, have people going through their home, having to keep it clean, etc. only to not have the pressure applied to the transaction and subsequently going to foreclosure.

Thanks Mark, I have seen way to many deals fall through due to ignorance of what the Mortgage Lender is looking for, or not staying on top of them...
