Posting approriate, genuine, informative comments to other blogs is a good way to get links, especially if the blog is "DoFollow".

But are your comment links getting indexed by the search engines? If not, then there's no link juice, even if it is a "dofollow" link.

The Blog Comment Assistant for Real Estate can help with that, in a big way. While you are using the tool to visit and post to blogs, you have the option of tracking your comment URLs.

If you track them, we'll automatically add them to crawled pages on our own website, as HTML links. This will help assure that the page where your comment resides gets indexed.

It's a built in feature of the tool. You don't need to do anything else, except track the URLs, as you post. We do the rest.

Please give the Blog Comment Assistant for Real Estate a review, if you would.

Dirk, interesting tool.  To be honest I had never thought of SEO gains through comments, until now that is.

Li & Kris,

Thanks. Yes. blog commenting, and especially, blogroll links, are quickly emerging as the single largest "source" of links that are avaiable to an agent. Soon to dwarf every other method.

Of course, you have to work to getthem, but for those who do, the impact is huge.

I guess I wonder how often comments aren't indexed. On any site the size of AR I would say never. Even the smallest site I would think would get completely crawled since the smaller size would make it easier to crawl. They might not show up immediately in SERPs but they should get indexed.
