Wow, I got thanked for being honest!

I am always honest with my clients about what I can do.

I received an email asking about marketing some land in my area.  I gave this person an honest assessment of what they could expect to sell the land for.  The person did not want to sell at that price.  Then the next line was thanking me for my honesty.   WOW!  That is a first for me.

Will I see this land come on my local MLS at the dream price?  Maybe. 

I have lost listings to others who told their clients they could successfully market their property at the dream price.   Those agents then waste their time and money trying to do the impossible.  I had one person list with the dream price Realtor, then regularly call me about why the property was not selling.  Call Mr. Dream Price Realtor and ask him!

Being honest has not always gotten me business, but I hope that being honest keeps me in business.
