What's not to love about Bubbles?
A store I stumbled upon while out with my husband on an early jaunt to Laguna's Main Beach, I spent a good half hour browsing through the abundance of soaps and oohing and ahing.
Located in the historic Hotel Laguna in the heart of Laguna Village [445 South Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA, 866-4-Bubble], Bubbles is a quintessential bath and body salts boutique. This is not your grandmother's soap (or maybe it is!!) When I pass it, I still slow down and plan my next visit, contemplating my next "find".
From rare or hard to get Eau de Toilette sprays to decadent foaming and bubble baths, the little luxuries include flavors like "Lavendar and Honey", "Peony and White Lily" to "Organic Oasis Soy Milk and Vanilla Orchid" shower cream. Specialty sets such as the "Cucina Chef Soap and Kitchen Fragrance" set indulges you with choices between exfoliating "Coriander and Olive Tree" to remove impurities and odors and tangy "Ginger and Sicilian Lemon" to dissolve grease and residue from your hands.
Bubbles seeks to keep the Laguna Beach clientele in the "know", and their products are continually written up in a plethora of magazines. A few from the well-reviewed and plentiful list of Bubbles' products:
- Ask about the "Evian Brumisateur Mineral Water" spray. Written up for its properties in Vanity Fair Magazine in June 2005 and at just over the cost of a venti latte, the hydrating mist is something reminiscent of large country estates and lazy summer days.
- Unusual gifts or splurges on the self include "Aquis Mimi's Diva Dryer Hair Turban", recommended by Chicago Tribune style contributor Leah Jayasanker, June 2006, for its expeditious hair drying function.
If you can't stop in to the store, drop by
Bubbles online at
www.bubblesoflaguna.com to have something sent to you! They feature shipping specials and packages for Mother's Day and other life celebrations.
I can't wait until you are blogging away about all the cute little shops in Kirkland or Seattle. Amanda would love this place. I hope she doesn't see this :)
