Washington at UVA

They say that Real Estate is local and with the current environment that is certainly true.

I just read a blog from Spokane Washington Real Estate Expert, BethAnn Long about their local market. Click Here

My response to her was "Stay positive and stay focused you are above the crowd just by being actively working on your business!"

Then it crossed my mind, something that I had seen recently, a statue here in Charlottesville Virginia  at UVA...

Was it because BethAnn was from Washington State? I am not sure....It was this statue of George Washington!

What I thought about was the environment that our founding fathers lived in and the loss of life to give us the Liberty and Freedoms we all enjoy today.

There is no doubt that Our Times are troubling, but it is so small in comparison...

Thank God for the strength of those who came before us. I only pray we can be as strong for our future generations....

Great post Charles, and so true.  Sometimes the markets can be overwhelming for all.  It is a good reminder that we stay the course.

Funny how you can talk to someone and it triggers something that shows just how small a world we live in.  Some agents have such a hard time getting past what they hear in the news that they can't focus on how to make their own business profitable and successful.  It's all about attitude.

How right you are Charles.  This country has been through a lot; we will get through this too.

Hi Charles,   this sentence spoke to me so deeply...Thank God for the strength of those who came before us. I only pray we can be as strong for our future generations....  I pray for that too, especially in these troubled economic times.

Charles - As long as we stay focused, we'll get through with this economic turmoil.  Ignore the news, work harder and smarter and think positive.

Charles, I too, have recently had similar thoughts--especially about the sacrifices our forefathers made. They risked their lives and their fortunes to help birth our nation. It's a far cry from where many of our so-called leaders are today, who lie and cheat just to line their own pockets. A little revolution every now and then can be a good thing.

I've got hugeamungus goals for 2009 and I'm planning to reach each one of them!  Throughout the various crises the country is facing, you've got to have the right mindset.  If you think positively, you'll have more of a positive focus.  I've often said that my husband prompted me when I initially started my business to "think big, be big."  It's all about your perception.  If you think that your business is successful, you'll feel like your business is successful and will then want to do what you need to do to make it successful.

It was a very different country then, people were proud to be Americans and were willing to fight for our freedoms, unlike today where they give them up like they are a penny on the ground.

We need to fight to keep our freedom and to keep this country great, just as our founding fathers did.

AMEN AND AMEN!

I think the first step in facing tough times is being aware of the facts, and having a steady plan to stay focused. I am! Thank you
