Good thoughts.  We don't get inches of snow just brief visits then it is 80 the next day or something, Texas weather.  Really hadn't thought of the pitfall.

We are landlords in Texas, after having lived in Denver and Pennsylvania.  Snow is a liability that I am VERY glad not to have to deal with.

Connie- We are in a bit of a heat wave here ourselves... High of 18 today, last week it got down to -20 a few days lol. Yeah the snow can be a big pitfall and risk when not safely taken care of.

Rob & Camille- The snow can be a huge liability, especially for landlords :( Besides uninsured people shoveling/plowing your properties you have to worry about slips & falls and all the other joys of snowy weather.

Chris,

All but the huge plow piles of our snow has melted and tomorrow it may be 60 degrees here. Then later in the week, look out cuz here comes the cold again. Just a teaser to let the lake melt more than come at us both barrels loaded from the "snow machine"...  :-p

NJ- We are exactly the same here.... Warm until the weekend then possible snow again this weekend, unless they changed it again :-/ Its still been cold enough each night to put a fresh thin layer of ice on the pond though lol.

You bring up very good points about hiring the right person.  Luckily here in Southern California we don't get snow unless you're way up in the mountains.  Take care.

Joseph- While you don't get the snow, you do still have the yard and interior improvement workers... same rules apply if their not insured you and your assests are not safe if they get injured :(
