Tonite while I was catching up on e-mails, returning calls and anticipating the sunshine and warm weather of the Palm Beach area...I had the television on and was captivated by the music, the joy of the participants in anticipation of the inauguration. Forget who you voted for...that was then, and this is now...right now....for all of us.
We are very excited to be in Palm Beach...not because it is not the frozen tundra of Wisconsin where wind chill factors were 40 BELOW ZERO and snow falls were trying hard to beat record rates....though I have to admit, this brand of vitamin D sunshine sure beats swallowing pills !
The Music...the momentum of the crowd.... politicians, performers, celebrities, women and men in uniform....and just regular folks...with smiles, heads held high and what I thought I saw Abe nodding in approval of the spread of a positive attitude that enveloped the air...in music, in rhetoric...in the hope of fulfillment of dreams that some may have feared were lost. For people who have the very great privilege of working in real estate and helping fulfill the dreams of individuals and families...,my dream is that you too feel this hope...and the very awesome responsibility of being a part of fulfilling these dreams. That you do not overqualify buyers and dash their hopes. That you STOP buying listings....go by the REAL numbers...and you stop dashing sellers' hopes. Be Honest....Know that you are a very real part of the hope for the future of that buyer, that seller, your brokerage...yourself...it is about them...ALL of them. KNOW WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW. If you don't know a neighborhood, a short sale, a commercial transaction....refer it, don't experiment with someone's future....and jeapordize your future...your reputation and career. Refer it, learn it, watch it, partner, take courses, study hard....work hard.....Making dreams come true are your very awesome responsibility.....Abe and I both have tear stained cheeks and look forward to a bright future.
