I am happy to re-blog this post by Danny Thornton. In a time when many markets are having a difficult time on the road to ultimate recovery, developing tools to enhance your current income stream as well as searching out and creating other income streams is very important. Please feel free to click on any of the links in Danny's post to get a better understanding of what we are doing to help ourselves and others in this respect.

Before I get into this post, let me just clarify that this blog is not the announcement that this post preempted. That is a bird of a different feather and will actually be divulged February 1st instead of the end of this month. Now that I have that little bit out of the way, let me get into this particular post.

I have had some people ask me lately if I was leaving the mortgage industry. The answer to that is "NO". I am merely taking a step back and Rich is running The Thornton Team @ Home America Mortgage. As we speak, there are transformations to even this part of our business. I will still be around to write loans, but just have chosen to take a passive role in the mortgage industry so that I can pursue a few other endeavors that Rich and I have started.

That being said, we created R & D Management to control a few of our endeavors. The Thornton Team, Positive Real Estate Professionals (PREP), R & D Art, Athletic Alley, and a new endeavor will all fall under R & D Management. In doing this, we are now able to manage all of these endeavors under one umbrella. While Rich's main focus will be The Thornton Team, he will also still be very involved in all of the other endeavors. It will just mean that the mortgage side of the business will take precedence over the other endeavors. If business picks up enough, I will be able to fill in.

My biggest projects will be that of PREP and R & D Art. With PREP, our goal is to rebuttal the negative press that surrounds both the mortgage and Real Estate industries. Since we have vendors on this site, we spend time promoting these vendors and driving more potential customers to them. With R & D Art, we have been working on building and maintaining blog sites, websites, banners, and icons for people in very diverse industries. In doing this, once again, our goal is based on driving more consumers to our customers. We have also launched the newest leg of R & D Art which is based on helping people get integrated into blogging and social media. With that said, this is where my main focus lies at this time.

Kate - We work tirelessly, except for my recnt trip to Hawaii where I did not work at all! Spring is still a few months away and I cannot wait to get the garden going again. BTW, the chickens are laying eggs like crazy, have got 34 eggs from 11 chickens in the past four days! Sharing lots of fresh, organic eggs with neighbors and family.
