A Tour Of Victoria's Chinatown, and the Narrowest Street in North America

Victoria's Chinatown - Historic Gate Canada's oldest Chinatown, established around 1858 is located right here in Victoria, BC on Fisgard Street. When you arrive at the historic gates of Chinatown, you will be met with the sights and sounds of this small but interesting bit of old Victoria.

Take a look at the interesting shops in Fan Tan Alley, at the heart of Chinatown. It is the narrowest street in North America, being only 5 ft wide. The downtown walking tours include the area in their itinerary.

Thank you for sharing this interesting piece of information. I learned something new today and I enjoyed taking the 360 degrees virtual tour of Fan Tan Alley and other surrounding areas of Victoria. I found VirtualVacationGuide.com to be a great website to do virtual visits of Victoria. I wonder if they will expand and do virtual tours outside of the Vancouver Island, to other parts of Canada and perhaps the US.

Thanks for your comment. The VirtualVacationGuide.com is a great way to add links to websites and the company is located here in Victoria. I'm not sure if they will do other links to different parts of Canada and the US, but when I asked them to add my office location virtual tour they were very obliging and did it within a day!

Well, as you say, you're not very far away, being in Seattle. Right now we are having lovely sunny but COLD days, with the temperature around -1 Celcius, so maybe wait a few weeks when the north winds isn't blowing!
