OK! I promise I will not go any further than four weeks as a self-proclaimed newbie!!! I do want to thank everyone who has commented to me and have offered their help in answering my questions.
I am still amazed at the wealth of information and resources on Active Rain. I also, cannot believe how many people have commented on my newbie blogs or have added me as an associate. Thank you so much!
I hope to begin blogging about something that will help others instead of my just taking from everyone else. I still have many questions about getting set up here. I just don't feel like a great resource to anyone yet!
Questions:
Localism..I just don't seem to be able to post pictures and information about my area...I love photography and my photos help tell the Edisto story. I love telling about Edisto Beach and all the cool things this quaint and unique area has to offer, but don't know for sure where to put this info!
I did sign up for Facebook and that is pretty wild. I always thought it as something for the kids (my three sons seem to live on it). My 20 year old college son (far right) does not want to be my friend..my other son told me its because I will make him take off half of his pictures! Probably so!!
I am amazed at all the folks that have asked to be "my friend. Are you supposed to acknowledge them with a thank you response? Do you let everyone in who knows someone that knows someone else that you might just happen to know?!? HUH!

Associations: What is the protocol for this when someone adds you?
Is there a handbook for ActiveRain beginners? Is there one we could print out and use as a hard copy or would it mean killing too many trees?
