Hope you have a chance to check out this new ethnic restaurant... YoMa. Having never eaten at a Burmese place before, I was pleasantly surprised!  This small storefront eatery is serving some of the more interesting dishes around.  Best described as a cross between Thai and Chinese with some hints of Indian, everything I ordered was excellent.  A deep fried shrimp tempura was not greasy at all with the just right amount of crispiness.  The chicken curry entree was a perfect size serving and more resembled a Chinese curry.  Very tasty.  No beer or wine, yet.  One warning: service can be slow as it looks like everything is made to order...your patience will be rewarded.

Location is next to the Model Cafe in Union Sq. Allston.
