Okay, the numbers show that 97% of the mortgages are being paid. Only 10% of the population has lost their job. Some businesses are doing great. So, when will the consumer confidence come back for buyers and sellers to feel confident about real estate?
I really believe that after the inaugaration, we will see a change in the way that people feel? Do you?
I certainly hope so. I think consumer confidence will come back when the media stops spreading the non stop doom and gloom!!
I think that you are dead on about the return of consumer confidence now. And while I don't think it will happen overnight, I feel money will now be thrown by Buffet and Soros into the market to give it a lift as well. After all I feel they manipulated the market beginning last Sept to deflate things. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you must, but mark my words by this time next year no one will be talking about a recession.
Richard.. This morning pending the inaugruation, the stock market went DOWN. As long as the confidence of the public turns around, I don't care what Obama does.
