Agent and Client...

When you do something new you want to learn from those who have experience.

When you are looking at new construction in the Charlottesville Area do you need an Agent?

The short answer is YES...

Let's ask ourselves a few questions:

How many times have you had a home built?

How many builders do you know?

Will you have the builder/county inspector tell you that your home is built to code?

Does a "certificate of occupancy" mean the home is done?

As with anything new you need the guidance of an expert. Use a REALTOR to get you though the many addition stages of building a home. But do be sure that you Agent has experience with new construction...

And I do not mean they took a course or have a certificate. I mean first hand experience...

The relationship between an Agent and a Client is so much more valuable that you might think.

No questions, just a statement.

A buyer absolutely needs to use an agent with new construction. Who would be looking out for their interests otherwise?

Charles, very good post in that I think I can use that concept with clients if you don't mind. IE: If you can answer the next 10 questions correctly you may not need an agent to buy a New Home.

I like Corie's idea. I think a client does themselves a disservice but choosing not to use an agent.

Great advice! and that picture.... thats great.

I always ask buyers why they would trust a builder? Things do go wrong and dates do pass. You trusted agent will be there fighting for you and keeping track of what and where things are.

Charles......you wax on and wax off the way you were taught?.....LOL

There is so much mistrust in our industry, I'm not sure what has to be done to gain back the respect of the consumer...!!! You're right...a true professional is invaluable, but how does the consumer get a comfort level when searching!!! Thanks, Fran
