According to a new report, Nashville ranks #32 among U.S. cities for estimated job losses in 2009.  It is estimated  that this area could lose 15,000 jobs this year, which would put the unemployment rate at 7.4%...up from 6.3% last year.

In contrast, here are how some other cities look for 2009:

  • New York city could lose over 180,000 jobs...
  • Los Angeles - 164,100 jobs
  • Miami - almost 85,000 jobs
  • Chicago - 80,300 jobs
  • Boston - 58,500 jobs
  • Phoenix - 51,000 jobs
  • Atlanta - 50,900 jobs
  • Detroit - 50,400 jobs
  • San Francisco - 49,200 jobs
  • Dallas - 45,200 jobs

So you see, according to this report - Nashville Tennessee looks pretty darn good!  Nashville Real Estate remains stable!
