It's not often that we have more than a dusting of snow in our area.  So, on the rare ocassion it does snowflakehappen, we are so excited to celebrate the day and remember it in all its glory.  On this very day 4 years ago we had an ice storm that paralized the Triangle.  This year, the DOT and the Highway Patrol did a great job in preparing for the snow and getting the word out to the community.

I, unfortunately, I braved the winter weather to make it into the office.  When I arrived there weren't many people around but I had clients coming in.  You know, those guys from out of town that breeze in and out and have limited time.  Guess they picked the wrong time but we braved the weather anyway.

After meeting w/the clients I picked up my Yellow Lab Maggie, my hubby, and my daughter Jordan and we headed to Bond Park!  It was so much fun!!  It's also down the street and there were hundreds of kids and adults sledding like they were at Wintergreen or Snowshoe! My dog Maggie acted like she had never seen snow and she was a puppy all over again!  They all truly made me laugh and enjoy the day!

After a hard day at work, I truly enjoyed the Bond Park Winter Wonderland!!

Tracy, I love your video- we also had a dusting of snow in some areas today. It closed the schools, cracked me up!

Tracy - My Dad is probably fuming.  The whole reason (well, a large part of the reason) they moved to the area is to get away from the snow.  It sure does look beautiful though.

Jason - too funny!  It's not like it happens all the time here, though! Every 4 years..not like PA.

Jay/Bill - it's really just a realestateslideshow from AR...easy to use and professional too.  My videos are a bit off balance but I'm working on them.

Our Lab went nuts in the backyard.  She acted like a true lunatic.  The fresh snow brings out the puppy in all dogs, but especially so in a Lab.

Glad you had fun in the snow Tracy. We have a few inches up here in Blowing Rock too but I grew up in Southport so I know what it's like to have a good snow after not having one for a while. I still get excited every time it snows up here.

Tracy, I feel your excitement and your slideshow was lovely.  Here I've had enough snow already for the next several winters :)  Enjoy!

Nothing like a blessing of snow from Mother Nature to make us appreciate the beauty around us!

The pictures were beautiful, glad you made it safe and sound.

The real question, Did you find the buyers a home?

Missy,

I need to twitter more.  I got started and I just haven't invested the time. I've got Lance Armstrong (he's from Plano, TX where I grew up) and Dave Letterman following me but I haven't stepped up to the plate.

Tracy... I am so ticked... I am a summer/beach and winter/snow & skiing kind of guy. And you have gotten more snow than I have this year. Life isn't fair....  ;o(   For 2008/2009, in my area of south Jersey, we have had a total of 1.8 inches roughly....  everyone else has received snow...    hey, thanks for sharing this. Loved the video...

I can't believe you took clients out!  I'm used to plenty of snow, but Raleigh is not....  hope you didn't slide around too much.  What a great day for getting outside and playing!

Hi Tracey!  Isn't snow beautiful in the south?  We actually had snow all day in McCormick, SC (northwest of Augusta, GA).  It didn't stick around, though.  Great video!

Thank you Tracy.  This was just so charming, not to mention motivational to make me try the AR slide show.

Tracy:  Beautiful isn't it?  The video is great.  I hope you have great fun in the snow but I think you should have taken a snow play day!  Stay warm.

Tracy, better Cary than DC on the 20th!  Cold was bad enough, but if we'd had cold and snow, I might have perished!

Awesome..snow in NC! I kinda miss it, but I am okay in Miami Beach for now, although it was 39 degrees this morning with a wind chill of 31 degrees, however, it is 60 now and I am going to play a little tennis ..outdoors!  I get to go up to NYC a few times a year and get my taste of the snow. Talk to you tomorrow Tracy. Take care.
