I could use some help... actually I need some help.. and fast. I do not want to lose the quality of work I do and I am afraid of falling behind . With no time (or the desire) to train another assistant , a Virtual Assistant sounds like a good solution.

I do not have any experience with virtual assistants nor does any Realtor I

personally know so I thought.. "What better place to receive good quality

   feedback than activerain?"

There are a number of VA on AR you can look to for help and I'm sure that they will happily give you good advice in searching for the one that helps you the most

Hi Lizette,

Thank you for writing! Could you tell me what was the reason you never actually hired one?

Did you spend a lot of time searching?

I appreciate anything you share with me. =)

Hi Sonny,

Thank you for your post! I was wondering what other Realtors found to be good/bad things while they searched or employed Real Estate VAs.

We are currently working with a great VA. We interviewed 3-4 and found one we really like. She has also worked with another agent in our office. This is the first time we've ever worked with one but are very happy and the work she has done would have taken us forever. Feel free to contact her; Sonia@vaprofessionals.net  I'm not sure what you are looking to do but it's worth sending her an email and seeing if there's a good match. You are welcome to email or call me with further questions.

I have not used one and don't know of anyone who does, so would be most interested in hearing some successful testimonials from those who have utilized VA's.

Interesting. I have a vague idea what an VA can do but am not sure exactly how a VA can do. I will contact sonia when I need a VA.

You might also try www.elance.com.  I've read about the service several places but haven't tried them yet.  I looked at them last year and it seems like a good way to parcel out some specific tasks. Worldwide sourcing.

I used a VA for over a year and loved her!  She was found via AssistU online.  You can Google it and find them.  The process was good in that the online site has you fill out a comprehensive questionnaire so that they can send your request to upwards of 5 possible candidates. We interviewed all of the people that contacted us and then selected the one that I deemed the best fit for my work style, cost requirements, skill set, reference feedback and a few other things.

Kathie was invaluable to me.  Each person charges a different fee but what I did like about AssistU is that they provide some training to people who are becoming VA's so that they understand how to be autonomous, which is important when working virtually.

Good luck to you and I hope it works out well!

David,

I think I would prefer to have someone within the US but I will most definitely check it out.

Reba,

It is a neat idea to fill out one profile and have 5 prospects.

Thank you both!

I know of a company from my real estate coaching days.  I will look them up for you if you'd like.  They helped many of my past real estate clients and are familiar with the industry.

The company is REV Staffing.  You should be able to google them to locate their info.  Otherwise you can go to www.corcorancoaching.com enter the site and go to the service provider tab on the left hand side.  Click on virtual assistants and Rev Staffing.  Hope this helps...I know there's a lot of admin work when doing short sales.  Outsourcing some of that work is an excellent idea and will make you more dollar productive!

Hello Laura,

I am submitting upwards of 130 pages/per lender/per transaction.... it has worked very well for me since the approvals come in very quickly but the adm work is overwhelming. Thank you very much for the info.

Help lots of people and have a great day!!!

Hello Patty,
It's my pleasure.  You need to get out from under the paperwork and you can begin to focus on taking your business to the next level.  Good administrative help can get you there.

I will be bringing on a part time assistant next month.  She is awesome, so I won't be using a VA.  When I coached, I worked closely with my client's VAs to help get things going.  When you get the right one....it makes a huge difference.
