Video of the Day - IndyUnsolved

Hey Folks!

Today the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department launched a new YouTube subscriber. IndyUnsolved. IMPD is uploading videos featuring unsolved cases. The police hope their display will encourage folks to report information on the people wanted for the crimes.

"We're very anxious to learn what sort of response the YouTube images bring." Sgt. Bill Ryan of the IMPD investigations division, who helped initiate the video program, said that distribution of videos and images from surveillance cameras on criminal cases generates public response on those cases 40% of the time.

IMPD is going to set up e-mail and text messaging links to help people make anonymous cirme tips.
