New Project in Pinal County

Yup, there is a housing slowdown in the greater Phoenix area.  Home inventory is at an alltime high at around 52,000.  But the builders smell something....they smell continued job growth and long term potential in the Valley.  The East Valley Tribune just reported the onset of a HUGE, nearly 2400 home gated development coming to the Queen Creek area.

Encanterra, by Shea Homes will be located at the southeast corner of Gantzel and Combs roads.  The first residents are expected to move in during spring of '08 with construction continuing until about 2014.  Shea homes hopes that the location will appeal to workers from Chandler's growing employment base.  They also believe that the widening of Ironwood (which turns into Gantzel) will make this location more appealing than those further out in Pinal county.
