Whether waiting in line at the grocery store while the person at the checkout is busy talking on his cell phone not realizing that the cashier is waiting for him or being cut off at the next turn in the road. We all have a tendency to yell, scream or worse. But when you think about it, rarely does it do any good and we are even often blamed because of our furthering the issue.
However an act of kindness is alway rememebered whether it is helping out the little league team, a charity raising money outside the grocery store or giving to the person at the corner wanting a dollar for a meal.
Kindness does more for the person giving in most cases than for the recipient. It makes one feel good about oneself. which in return makes you feel better about yourself, the world around you etc. So how or what does this have to do with the bottom line, Great question John, Jeremy, Beth and Paula:
When you are kind to others you tend to feel better, when you feel better you tend to work harder. When you are kind to customers they tend to continue to do business with you. When you are kind to employees and fellow associates they tend to e kinder to your customers (see sentence before this one).
Try plugging a quarter into someones parking meter that has expired, buying a candy bar from the child selling them for their school, my favorite was buying a $6. meal for the guy ringing the bell for salvation army and while he took a break to eat it I rang the bell. I would bet I felt as good as he did.
Bottom Line is Be Kind.....
