A much needed quick Get-A-Way

This weekend has been on our schedule for weeks now.....and I had circled it in red, why? Due to the turn the last 18 months in our industry we have learned to do without alot more......as many have.

I still consider ourselves very blessed, we plenty, just not what we had experienced with the boom the real estate industry had for many years.

Our vacation time consisted of dinners with friends and family at home......and it has been wonderful.

We have dear friends that became so a few years back when I helped them sell and buy their home. They have a great condo in Ocean City, NJ that they ask us to all the time......the dates worked that we were able to go this past weekend. I know you are thinking the NJ shore in January.....are we nuts? We had a blast, we interact very well together and enjoy the simple things in life. A little over 48 hours of laughs, simple foods, walks on the boardwalk and movie watching......a much needed relaxing weekend.

HI Dan, Getaways are absolutely necessary for our health - physical and mental. I blogged a couple of months ago about a great weekend getaway I took this last autumn with 9 other girlfriends I went to high school with about a million years ago. We giggled and had so much fun that it was like being kids again, and I returned tired but energized. I got back to work with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

Dear Dan,

Isn't it nice how we can enjoy the simple things when it just isn't feasible to take the trip or have a big annual party? We had to forgo our one party a year in early December. We hold it during a Parlor Tour of open houses in the neighborhood. This year instead of hosting, we went to someone else's party. It was great!

Thanks so much for your comment on my appraisal post. Now, more than ever, evryone in a transaction has to take the time to be cooperative.
