A good Realtor is also a great detective. Finding clues others missed, following up on leads from the clues and discovering problems and possibilities before they come to light in the Daily Newspaper. That makes for great opportunities for buyers and sellers.

Good detective work on Real Estate is not easy and sometimes even hazardous. I have a sister in law who is a Realtor. While in Arizona she represented a client who wished to purchase a tax lien on a 20 acre parcel of land. She started working on it and discovered the other tax lien holder had put together a sophisticated web of LLCs and trusts in order to hide himself. She found him in one month and presented the offer. He was staggered. He told her in 19 years of buying tax liens no one had ever been able to get through the web he had set up and reach him personally. He was so impressed he accepted the offer and offered her a job on his team.

Since moving to the Austin/Round Rock it has been fun working as a real estate detective. My research has produced a number of files full of great information. It would be my pleasure to help you in your search for Real Estate here. Email me at: roundrockhomes@gmail.com

Alan, you are so correct.  As agents we are also detectives.  Always looking for great deals for our clients and then investigating all of the pros and cons of the deal.

Yes, I enjoy getting the "scoop" on many of the homes my buyers are interested in purchasing. Things like, how much they got a loan for, MLS history and tax roll info. Fun stuff!

We often kid that we are also the local detective agency for our town. I've threatened to have t-shirts made.... so far I've resisted!

If you make a t-shirt I want one. That sounds great.
