I've been tagged!

OK, yet another MeMe is clogging the ActiveRain web site servers.

This one is called "Seven Things About Me"

But in my case, I'm calling it the "Seven Things About Me You Didn't Know (Or Were Afraid To Ask!)"

I'm quite certain there are more than seven things about me you didn't know...or were afraid to ask!....but I'll follow the rules and keep it to seven!

Laura Watts

Candace Robinson

David Patterson

Laura Watts, David Patterson and Candace Robinson are the people who tagged me for this blog entry.

So, without further ado, but with great reservations, here are:

Seven Things About Me You Didn't Know (Or Were Afraid To Ask!)

1. I'm a huge fan of the game show Jeopardy! I'm not sure how I'd do if I was ever on on the show, but I am a five time Jeopardy couch champion! And really now, who doesn't like singing the Jeopardy theme song to tease your friends when they're thinking of what to say next?

Jeopardy!

2. When I grow up, I want to be an old Missippi Delta black Blues guitarist like B. B. King or Robert Johnson!

Robert Johnson

B. B. King

3. Although the first album I ever bought was "Steal Your Face", the first album I ever owned was, sadly enough, "The Partridge Family Album". (Hey, it was one of those gifts from someone who was invited to my parent's home, but didn't want to show up empty-handed!)

Steal Your Face! The Partridge Family

4. I've learned all my United States geography by following the Grateful Dead all over the country! With over 200 GD shows to my credit, (and being a Jeopardy couch champion), I know all the capitals, where to find the good local food and where all the cheap hotels are!

These guys can play!

5. I'm addicted to pretzels. Don't give me those fancy designer pretzels, or even think about putting mustard or chocolate on them. I take my pretzels straight up, right from the bag! I can practically eat a whole bag nightly.

Behold the King of All Snack Foods - The Pretzel!

The King of Snack Foods - The Pretzel!

The picture below depicts a heinous act upon the king of all snack foods...putting mustard on it. I caution you to get the kids out of the room before viewing it. This is not for the squeamish! Please note, that although the content of this picture is very scary, it is a dramatization. No real pretzels were hurt in the process!

Assault on a pretzel...very scary!

6. On September 16th, 1962 I was born in Doctor's Hospital in Manhattan, New York City. Shortly after I was born the hospital was torn down. Coincidence or not? I report, you decide.

Please note that the picture below depicts a building imploding. This is NOT a dramatization! The real building was actually hurt in the process!!!

See ya!

7. And last, but not least....I appear on over 50 albums including one of the best selling albums of all time, "Frampton Comes Alive" by Peter Frampton, The Clash's "London Calling", The Dave Matthews Band "Central Park Concert", and countless Grateful Dead albums just to name a few.

London Calling

Do you feel like I do?

The Dave Matthews Band The Grateful Dead

OK, OK....They're all live albums and I was just in the audience for them. But if you listen closely, I'm certain you can hear me cheering!

Well folks, there are the seven things you didn't know about me (or were afraid to ask!).

But now you know them and you can't do anything about it!

And now it's my turn to tag some of my unsuspecting friends. Please note that if you are not tagged, it's not that I don't care about you. It's because I've responded to these MeMe things a number of times and tried to mix it up a bit. If I've tagged you before and now once again, it's because I either don't like you or you intrigue me and I want to know more about you!!! Again, I report, you decide!!!

So, here goes it goes. Let's see seven things we didn't know about you:

Terrie Leighton Terrie Leighton        Mandi PerkinsMandi Perkins

Josef Katz Josef Katz        Tracy Miller Tracy Miller

Anne Hensel Anne Hensel                  Sean Dreznin Sean Dreznin

And my last victim....I mean friend....will be:

You!

Person of the Year...You!

That's right.

You!

Feel free to post your own "7 things" MeMe either in the comments section of this post or on your own blog.

The world wants to know!

Here are the rules;

1.Create a blog post with a link to the person who tagged you.

2.List these rules in your post

3.Share seven facts about yourself in the post

4.Identify seven of your friends or contacts whom you will tag to be part of this (at the end of the post, list their names and the links to their sites).

5.Let the friends whom you tagged, know that they've been tagged

Well!  I would certainly not have pegged  you for a Dead Head.  But since you're younger than I am (Thanks - now I feel really old!) it shouldn't surprise me.  The chronology is there.  LOL

Craig, since your favorite food is pretzels, does that show that you are truly "twisted" ??

Craig...you are an interesting person alright...great meme (although don't you sort of hate those?  He hee).  I love pretzels too!

Craig-LOL funny! I had a huge crush on David Cassidy and didn't miss a partridge family episode. Peter Frampton was right up there too. I just had a client that's personal friends with Peter, she said, he's the nicest most genuine person she knows! Go Peter! You rock! Thanks for making me smile!

How come there is huge informational gap from your miraculous birth at the soon to be doomed hospital through high school. Is there some things you are not sharing with us??? Come on...spill!

Craig,

I am so glad to hear none of the pretzels were hurt in the dramatization.  Too bad the hospital did.  LOL

Valerie - It's ok. I know there's a support group somewhere out there for people like us!!! We'll get by!!!

Konnie - I drew the line at the Partridge Family album! No Osmonds for me!

Carole - I guess tearing down the hospital you were born in had something to with the Feng Shui of the location it was in?!!! (For those of you who don't know Carole, she IS the Feng Shui Queen)

Carol - Ah my friend. there's so much you don't know about me!!! I've been a DeadHead since my first show in 1979. But I've never worn or owned a tie-dye.

Caren - What would it say about me if I liked the logs instead of the twisted ones?!!! But you have me pegged....I like the twisted ones!

Kristin - I don't mind the MeMe's really. It gives us a chance to get to know one another a little better. But please don't take that as an open invitation to tag me for anotherMeMe!

Mary - Cool story about Frampton! Sorry about the crush on David Cassidy...I hope the therapy is helping you get over him! And, if I made you laugh or smile, then my work is done here! Come back soon!

Cecily - A small bump on my head has wiped out some of those year's memories! However, I was told I had joined a band of gypsies during those years or some religious cult or some thing like that....I'll have to get back to you on that one!!!

Brigita - I could never hurt a poor defenseless pretzel!

Craig,

While I certainly appreciate the tag mention, I just completed the 7 things MeMe... You can find this in my blogs and while I tend to not pay attention to these things most of the time, I have recently begun to loathe them.  Although they are interesting if you know the person, they are kind of hollow if not...

Check out my buddy's Kelevra response to my tagging him... CLASSIC!

1. I am from Wincestertonville, Iowa.

2. I worked as a hitman for an indescriminate amount of time for unnamed clientel.

3. I am trained in 5 different martial arts and I can change a light bulb.

Gee, Craig, it looks like Sean is almost super-human! Or is it Kelevra?

As for the hospital being torn down, you know what they say about throwing away the mold, maybe they knew they had perfection when you were born!?!?

200 concerts?  Your dedication astounds me.  I think I've been to less than a dozen concerts, period.  Now I'm feeling deprived - maybe I should see who's coming to RBC?

hahah - I'm still laughing about the Partridge Family album, lol.   That's alot of concerts Craig!  Wow!     You have tried NYC street pretzels right? Those are pretty good WITH the mustard, lol.

Have a good night ,   (oh  -  I only understood a few words of the italian message you left me, lol)

Cara - I've translated it for you on your post! And, yes, of course I've tried those New York pretzels! I was born and raised there! They come in two flavors. Hot, but petrified and Cold, but soggy! However, mustard on a pretzel, in my opinion, is a communist act!

Craig, somehow I don't think there was anything coincidental about the timing of your birth and the subsequent demolition of the aforementioned hospital.
