Thank you Susan Mangigian, for getting back to reading fiction.
I just finished the POISONWOOD BIBLE wiritten by Barbara Kingsolver in 1999. I so enjoyed it. Reminds me how books are friends too. Even got me to search on line and discover there are study classes for this classic tale of a missionary family in the "Congo" spanning the 1960s to 1980s. The Price family move from Geoergia to the fictional village of Kilanga in the Belgian Congo Their story, which parallels their host country's tumultuous emergence into the post-colonial era, is narrated by the five women of the family: Orleanna, long-suffering wife of Baptist missionary Nathan Price, and their four daughters - Rachel, Leah, Adah, and Ruth May.
